that he wanted to push forward in the budget that has been approved for up to next Sept. Not a dime. In addition "Sanctuary's Cities" will not be defunded, Planned Parenthood will not be defunded, Deportation's are not receiving any additional funding, the immigration ban is not receiving funding, the wall is not receiving funding etc. etc. but he of course makes it sound like he got his way.

How much of any of this is true or spin I don't know but it is being reported by, if not all, many of the media outlets, including Fox.

Not true op.. the cities where he spent 28% of his presidency so far received some money from the federal govt to help pay for the added costs of Trumps many vacations.. $68 million tax dollars to help cover the added cost of Trumps weekend trips to NY & FL..

So much money, they had to start repaying the cities out of the federal budget where he keeps going (New York & West Palm Beach). This has NEVER had to happen before, because every other POTUS was responsible and didn't go on excessive vacations costing so much tax payers money at both the federal & state levels..

Much less no other president in our country's history has given the secret service a bill for a place to stay while protecting him on his vacations or at his wife's residence.. Trump = 100% scumbag & a leech.

This is what Trump does. Being a shady, crooked corner cutting motherfucker is intrinsic to his nature as a living organism. It's as natural to him as swimming is for a duck, and smart people can spot this type of person as easy as smelling a fart in a car. That's how it was for me. I never had too much of an opinion of the guy until he started running for president, and after listening to no more than 10 minutes of him speaking, I determined that not only is he a moron, but he's also so full of shit it's coming out of his ears.

It's amazing to me (and scary) many people see this wormlike creature and not only believe his lies, but admire him also. I have no sympathy for any of them.

When I see a car with a Trump bumper sticker I like to get a look at the driver to see what one of these idiots look like, so I can avoid them in the future.

This was not a Trump budget. It was Obama's fiscal year 2017 budget that had some things still being debated.

It is entirely expected that Trump wouldn't get his way in that budget at this stage. Things will be shifting in a much different direction for the fiscal year 2018 and 2019 budgets.

It is a Republican controlled Congress and they could have funded whatever they chose to fund or conversely they could have unfunded what ever they chose to unfund. They ignored providing funds for "Trump's programs" and did not unfund what he wanted unfunded.

And the #1 actual long term effect of his winning will be one fuck of a long look at themselves from both main parties that will (if they have the slightest amount of sense, which even though they are politicians they do have) most likely be the real shake-up so many wanted, even if they were 'afraid' to take that risk (which is at least understandable)? And not each & every trump voter was playing the short game?
