LOL I read it... the ONE study that says... giving the poor more money per hour actually COSTS them more money hhahahahahahh give me a break..... |

By the way, this is VERY important for ALL of us as Americans to support these companies raise minimum wage to $15 an hour WHY? Because Walmart and Mcdonalds are making BILLIONS off these employees and WE the tax payer have to supplement their income with medicaid, food stamps etc so basically Walmart is making the tax payers pay their employees so they don;t have to FIGHT to raise the minimum wage.. if your going to put up some retarded study that says paying people actually costs them more money is about the dumbest thing I ever read I'm dumber for having read that article |
For every well thought out study like "paying people more is good for the economy"
you will find some Alex Jones nonsense that says the opposite if you voted for Trump your probably hopeless.. cut your voting finger off because if you couldn't see thru a con man as OBVIOUS as trump when an adolf hitler comes along you will easily be fooled |

Big business /GOP pays for a skewed study so one counter opinion (lie) can be represented for their brainwashed idiots as "proof" of their ideology. |

I was born in 1937 and you should know that not only does my brain work without any memory loss but I also still have all my own teeth and although my penis is wrinkled and slow to start it still can get up to full speed without any chemical assistance. |
So Americans
What's an example of a country that has high min wage 15 hr + and therefore by your calculations a high unemployment? And I can save you the Googling.. there aren't any. |

The problem is the disappearance of decent paying jobs. |

However, it has a very bad reputation on democracy. Very few are happy with the way the country is being run, the drive for profit is crippling the lives of the many. Because the rewards go to the few. |

I remember when I worked for such wages back in the day, although for me minmum wage was $2.50 an hour. There was a group of us and we all knew who paid more, and every time we found a job that paid better we would jump ship. |
The only way to settle the argument is to look at the employment statistics for the St Louis Metro area in a year and compare.
The average US (national) low skilled labor wage is $10.25 currently. If you pay, or try to pay, below market wages you have to hire illegal workers, parolees or bottom of the bucket talent. Maybe, you can get a student that will work part time for chump change. |

For unskilled labor...not so much. But for valuable employees who make more than minimum wage, that is the way that things work. As it should be. Companies value employees who are skilled. Unskilled? Dime a dozen and easily replaced. |

Free market is labor going to the highest payer with the best conditions, this is how McDonalds was in the beginning and now they do scholorships, etc. to keep loyal unskilled employees. Illegal alien under the table work is the same, you go where the best money is. You just make shit up to counter any argument. You're an idiot with no integrity. |

They aren't just firing the low skilled, management jobs are going as well. |

But if you want to make a so-called "diFFerEnce" your choices are:
The media can make large segments of society believe whatever they want them to believe. The individual that's both an economist and a banker literally gets to tell world leaders what they should or shouldn't be doing. A charismatic religious leader can motivate large groups of people into doing anything they want them to do. |

We have a local Indian tribe here in town. They were broke, living in beat up trailers, lots of drug use, drinking, spousal abuse.... They built the biggest casino in Northern California and now they are all rich. It didn't solve any problems and only made them worse. They no longer live in trailers, have nice houses and nice cars, but the drug use is worse, they are drinking more, and the spousal abuse has continued. |

The problems with the supply of labour have only just started, there's far more grief down the road. Tackling it with minimum wages and workers rights are doing nothing, to making the whole thing worse.
The problem is with supply and demand. We are starting to see the problems with an oversupply of labour, wages plummet, zero hour contracts and a reduced number of available jobs. Right through the levels from the shop floor to middle management. Closing businesses like Walmarts mean management goes as well. At the moment every government is committed to making it worse. |
