one membership gives you access to multiple sites.. you pay out 40% of revenue to webmasters running those sites etc..

:helpme

read the faq! duh!

Q. How is swoit different to an AVS system?
A. Adult Verification Services (or AVS) gives you access to a network of thousands of small sites, each with their own niche and a minimal amount of content. Swoit however gives you exclusive unlimited access to real-life internet paysites that are jammed full of content.

LadyMischief 04-23-2003 12:34 AM

Nike has competition!

Just Swoit it!

SandraWang 04-23-2003 12:40 AM

Erm... Why would a paysite owner that has "a unique members area or cover a rare niche", maybe with all exclusive content want to join a system like this and let all the surfers in the system see his content? Because it's so SWOIT? :1orglaugh

Because Swoit spams webmasters, and will have so many webmasters promoting it that they can send ridiculous amounts of joins to your website. They predict 100,000 sales in the first 3 months. With 100 sites participating, (only saw 50 or so now) that means 1000 sales per website on average. Wait, thats not shit..... hmm.. I guess they are hoping for more sales than that?
On the other hand it is gonna be about $3-4k in extra revenue per month for those 3 months.

Digipimp 04-23-2003 12:51 AM

That spam made me want to bust a "Swoit" load on someones face for putting that bullshit in my mailbox.

goBigtime 04-23-2003 12:54 AM

Oh wait.. this is probably the the best place to post this....

http://www.swoit.com/images/swoitmodel.gif

THe thing that doesnt make sense about "The Swoit Model" is affiliates send traffic, and partners 'supply sites'...

But how is the money REALLY split up?

Is it % by # of sites the paysite operators submitted?

-- because that opens doors for lots of problems...like people mass/trash submitting. People submitting template splash page sites with lower quality carbon-copy members areas VS. someone with 1 kickass site thats worth 100 of those cloned sites. So the webmaster with 1 good site gets stiffed with a much smaller share than the guy that submitted the 100 far lower quality sites??

Is it a flat % or payout when someone joins a participating paysite? Whats to stop Swoit from saying an unusally large % of the surfers signed up for sites that are owned/operated by Swoit (directly or indirectly)

Or like someone said... Someone might have a really good, jam packed members area, but a weaker front end that doesnt pull initial sales. But once swoit surfers find this guy and his jam packed members area they suck him dry -- and he gets paid nothing??

It's sounds like a great idea... but I see problems.

Maybe "Swoit" can come along and publicly explain (since the site doesn't seem to)

goBigtime 04-23-2003 12:57 AM

Ah I see..

The exact makeup of each partners distribution will be determined by how much time (in minutes) the swoit surfers have spent on their sites compared to all the other sites within the system.

So what if you imbed long videos in your pages in order to keep them around.

lucky482 04-23-2003 01:59 AM

And how can the paysite owners tell how many members you have? Are you going to allow access to your processor stats? I mean you could have 100,000 members but say that you only have 10,000 members and distribute 40% profits of that.

High Quality 04-23-2003 02:14 AM

I just got the fucking e-mail SPAM; I'm doing to DoS these sons of bitches now.

Cock suckers

The Other Steve 04-23-2003 02:18 AM

Swoit = Australian slang?

Don't give me the tom tits or the tray bits

Anyone who thinks Swoit is australian slang isn't the full quid and is probably a few sheep short of the top paddock.

Swoit is definitely not Australian slang for anything and that's that's ridgy-didge cobber!

Fuck me dead when are morons going to stop trying gain kudos for their crappy marketing ploys by trying to claim that it's Australian.

The only way this gets anywhere close to Australian is by its attempt to look like Ned Kelly

(who was a notorious bushranger)

The whole thing looks as dodgy as a three pound note and ours is one dinkum Aussie paysite that isn't going to sign up.

Ok so after 6 posts we can do an annoucement WTF?

bikinihouse 04-23-2003 02:59 AM

Wow...

Personally, this program looks solid. I've mentioned this in a another topic, and I'll mention it again. Swoit's business model is absolutely outstanding. If they follow their plan accordingly, it will revolutionize the industry.

I just signed up, and I'd like to say the model and backend script looks fantastic so far. I'm guessing the implementation will be just as easy and smooth!

Thumbs up to Swoit.com :thumbsup

I'm still waiting for this spam everyone is getting... I would definitely OPT - IN to program like this, and I haven't even received 1 email so far. Either you guys are pissed that you didn't come up with this concept or I got myself a pretty darn good email address!?

This sums up the attitude of almost everyone who has posted in this thread.......

Somebody has come up with an idea, and all you can do is bitch and come up with crap like the comment above.

Change is good. If people dont come up with something different every so often then this industry will stagnate. Fuck, I dont want to be building TGP galleries for the rest of my life.

I am not saying this is a good idea, I dont know... yet

The Click 04-23-2003 03:07 AM

Is there a such thing as good spammm?

You didn't realize they had spammed everyone in a fucking spam thread started by them? People will always be critical of each biz and that's fine what most people are pissed off about is that our email addresses got sold in mass on a scale that is rarely seen for us, and this thread starts a huge fucking giant spam and the swoit people had no intention of actually participating in the forum.

If I said I was in it since '98, you wouldn't even believe me. So will stick to the GFY signup dates. That makes us in it for at least 1 year... what would you consider long or short considering it's an industry that's only been around on the net for 6 years?

BluMedia 04-23-2003 03:44 AM

Hey Swoit can we buy your webmaster list? ICQ me 191604661

Ok let me put it another way - do you run a paysite and if you do are you prepared to open your members area up to being looted by the people who join via these people?

My partner and I do and our site is full of exclusive stuff that can't be seen anywhere else - 40% is not enough to make us want to rush of and join.

Your effusive support of a scheme that looks to be full of holes did make me wonder.

Yes but how many members do you have and what is the potential member base of swoit?

I'm trying to figure it out right now, but the email address that I got hit on I have only ever given to 3 sponsor programs. All my other email addresses that I use for work these days didn't get hit, so I figure they had to of bought it from a sponsor and from the sounds of how many people have received the email I'm betting it's a very big sponsor that has been around at least a few years.

freeme 04-23-2003 05:37 AM

sexhit maybe?

Tipsy 04-23-2003 05:38 AM

Other than idiots quoting points in the original post I'm still waiting for how this is in any way 'new' and not a glorified AVS? Only thing I see that's any different or in any way 'new' is the spec for listed sites is much higher.

A lot of people get very excited these days about the strangest things.

gothweb 04-23-2003 05:40 AM

I hope the decision to spam us all hurts them as much as I think it will. I have liked this sort of idea for a while, but I won't even consider going with them because they just look too shady because of this.

integrated 04-23-2003 05:43 AM

is this an australian operation?

xxxice 04-23-2003 05:43 AM

I wonder when Swoit will post again? They sure had lots of time before to post, but now they are nowhere to be seen; besides in our email boxes. Should be funny :winkwink:
