Honest question for 2MuchMark and the rest of the gang.

I am not taking anything away from the kids and I hope they keep going. But watching the town hall, how can you really not think some of those questions were not scripted. Frankly the language used in some of them was disgusting. Telling Marco Rubio looking at him can't stop you from seeing an AR 15 and Nikolas Cruz. Those were loaded up questions.

I watched this kid and his father last night on Tucker Carlsons show.
They both said very clearly that CNN made everyone submit their questions ahead of time (so much for a spontaneous "town meeting"), and then changed anything that wasn't anti-gun.
The kid and his father said they sent him back a rewritten "question" to ask that was designed to attack Rubio and told them quote: "Stick to the SCRIPT".

CNN is fucking disgusting in what they are doing.

The way they used the kids to say some pretty disgusting things to everyone is so unethical and vile. Having Emma Gonzales say to Dana that she will take care of Dana's kids because Dana can't. Calling her unfit to be a parent because she is pro gun. I mean that is vile

what is wrong with that? are journalists here to ask the question the one they ask want to be asked (like trump) ?

it is even a good journalistic propriety in interviews to script the questions that are asked beforehand and give it to the interviewed person.

Think about it for a second there.. When an interviewer scripts his questions we all know their agenda or at least an idea of where they lean. When CNN sells you a ''Town Hall'' but then everything was written and scripted (some of them in very unethical ways) Then it's not at all the same thing

This was presented to the public as a "town hall meeting" with questions from the KIDS.
It wasn't supposed to be scripted. It was supposed to be a chance for the public, and the kids specifically to voice their concerns.

Instead...CNN stepped in and scripted the entire thing to push the Democrat party's political narrative.

Just disgusting to use those emotionally distraught young people as pawns in their game.

CNN is part of the school shooting conspiracy. Of course they are going to try and control the narrative after. Because people are starting to get fingered they tossed the lone Deputy under the bus to redirect attention. It is NOT a coincidence all of these people are linked together. There's a war going on but the general public has yet to be informed. They attempted to kill the fucking President for Christ sakes. The driver that had the gun was driving a media van. Was it scripted? I have no idea. I didn't see it. I am sure the parents, the teachers, and CNN gave them assistance with questions. This kid is saying he wrote his own speech but yet the questions were scripted?

I'm more interested in if the "listening session" at the White House was scripted. Again, I didn't watch much of that, but the section I did watch was a man who seems to have lost his daughter. He was pissed. It was stunning to me that he said "gun control is not the answer". If this nineteen year old kid did not have a AR-15 his daughter would still be alive.

Watched a recently retired FBI agent explain all of this.

Up until 2012 when you called the FBI tip line...you were talking to an FBI agent at the closest field office to you.
In other words...that tip on this guy in Broward would have went to the closest FBI AGENT...which would have been the Miami field office.

And the call would be answered by a trained FBI field agent.

BUT...in 2012...the DOJ and FBI decided to consolidate all those calls to one central office in Clarksville West Virginia.
And the calls are answered by a staff of around 150 call center employees.

NOT FBI agents at all. Just people answering a phone.

And the people answering that phone and deciding that the tip on this guy wasn't valid are the same people who decided the tip on the brothers who ended up bombing the Boston marathon wasn't viable either.

In other words, a layer of govt. bureaucracy was put in between the public and the actual FBI field agents.

And this was the result.
And it's why the FBI missed this one, and the Boston marathon bombers, and who knows how many more. The clown answering the phone didn't feel it was "valid" so he never passed the info to the field office in Miami.

Of course they had to submit their questions in advance. You don't get to sit on forum with a Congressman and say what ever you want. You are talking about live television.

Glenn Haab, the father of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School student Colton Haab, told The Associated Press on Tuesday that he left out some words when forwarding an email that he and his son received from CNN producer Carrie Stevenson. Haab sent an altered version of the email to HuffPost and Fox News last week in an attempt to corroborate his son’s claim.


He told AP that there was “nothing malicious behind” his decision to leave out certain words. But the omitted words show that CNN was clearly asking his son to stick to asking the question he had already submitted.

CNN hit back against the claims on Friday, releasing a copy of the email exchange that shows Stevenson was informing Haab that his son had to ask a question “that he submitted” instead of a 700-word opening statement plus three questions and a closing statement that was sent over to the network after one question had already been agreed upon. Stevenson said in the email that they wanted to allow as many students as possible to ask questions, and the version Colton’s father submitted was way too long.

Yes Robbie, the kid was told to submit his question. This would standard in any live TV show with this kind of a format. Even more so when there are kids involved in asking politicians questions.

The kid submitted a question and was approved. However, then the kid submitted a seven hundred word opening statement, three questions, and a closing statement. The kid, most likely through this parents, was trying to hijack the entire show for whatever reason. After this the father pulled the kid from the show, and then the father doctored the emails and shopped them around to news outlets trying to make a story that wasn't a story at all.

That's a good question.

Personally, and not taking anything away from the kids either, I would think that MAYBE, some of the questions might be re-written from CNN, but only for timing and pacing purposes.

It's an expensive show, they have ads to sell, they slotted 60 or 90 minutes, etc. Timing to me could mean extra costs in the tens of thousands of dollars, maybe more.

I do not think anyone would try to change the intent of the questions though, as this matter is just too explosive. If CNN tried to change the kids intent, it would be shown all over social media in no time.




Maybe, but then again, think about the horror these people just went through. I know that if I had been one of the kids or parents asking the questions, that I would not have been able to keep my composure as well as these people did. I would have lost it and tore into Rubio. Amazing composure on both sides. And I'll even give Rubio a little credit for attending the meeting.
