You raise a good point. Trump uninvited a shit ton of people that had no intentions of going anyway.

trump: You can't break up with me, I'm breaking up with you!

beerptrol 06-05-2018 02:01 PM

Trump cancels event because he is butt hurt over the small amount of players attending the snowflake's event

He lies and says it's over the national anthem. His cult members celebrate!

He going to cry when NBA champs don't attend and make up some bullshit under the guise of nationalism or patriotism

They disagree with their President because he insists that they proudly stand for the National Anthem, hand on heart, in honor of the great men and women of our military and the people of our country," a statement from President Donald Trump read. "The Eagles wanted to send a smaller delegation, but the 1,000 fans planning to attend the event deserve better. These fans are still invited to the White House to be part of a different type of ceremony -- one that will honor our great country, pay tribute to the heroes who fight to protect it, and loudly and proudly play the National Anthem. I will be there at 3:00 p.m. with the United States Marine Band and the United States Army Chorus to celebrate America."

What part was the lie? That they are [now] unable to attend?

We get it, you have no issues with Trump lying. You playing stupid isn't cute. You're a grown middle aged man showing no integrity.

there are several lies in that statement

1. he is uninviting people that had already planned on not attending, as you pointed out. He actually ended up uninviting the people that wanted and planned and prepared to attend.

2. Another lie is his labeling the entire Philadelphia Eagles franchise as disagreeing with standing for the Anthem, that's clearly a lie since the entire team has a perfect no kneel record.

3. It's also a lie for the president to portray those people as unpatriotic to our military and veterans as his statement does.

4. He also lies by stating that he is giving the Eagles fans that planned on attending the event a huge gift by uninviting their championship team to the very event they planned on attending.

4 lies in one trump statement. not surprised.

Feel free to highlight where he said those things. It was your quote.

Just because they didn't kneel in the past seasons doesn't mean they weren't against the new NFL rule about the National Anthem and kneeling.

They are; you know this. Nice troll.

Ah, I get it; you think he should have gone with the 8 or 9 that wanted to show up. He would have caught flack for that too.

in 15 years a bunch of out of work, out of money players will say they could have gone to the white house but chose not to go so because they refuse to stand for the national anthem. I hope it is worth it to them.

I fully agree the most important thing is the economy. As long as we don't go third Reich to go there. I don't think we are anywhere close to third Reich though. Constitution is still important and we need to be firm about that as citizens.

Notice how this whole story came out the day after Trump started a small fire by saying he could pardon himself?

Somehow I don't think that is a coincidence.
