No need to spend millions housing tens of thousands of illegals, catch and release them back across the boarder. Locking up a few 100 employers like Trump who has been caught repeatedly hiring illegals would do the trick..

We can't detain people in tent cities. If I understand correctly, there are currently 700,000 immigration cases waiting for hearings. These people might be in tents for months, or perhaps years. The first kid who dies from heat stroke or the first kid who gets frostbite will be front page news.
