We caught our daughter 11, a few weeks ago with tons of porn on her laptop,
that she shared with other girls of her class.

The first things the Kids need are 100 leasons in IT, Security
and how did i handl Social Media Trash before they start with laptops in school.

And for the parents, another 100 leaons to teach
them that kids watch porn with 11 now.

Best Regards

I understand your feelings. I think it is highly inappropriate for kids to watch porn. But kids are curious and will find it, will explore and ask questions. It is natural to be curious and very resourceful of her to find and download stuff that in one way or the other must have sparked her interest. But no blame on her, she did what all kids do at pne point or the other. Inevitable in a way. Shame on you for making it so easy for her to both find and download it. Take the opportunity to talk to her and let her know that you are available if she has any questions or concerns but that you do not want her to watch or download such movies again in a few years time.

Same here, 3 years ago
My mom loves her macbook for surfing and such stuff :thumbsup

No I'd disagree. It needs to be light, have very long battery life, run the latest OS, be powerful enough to keep up with the latest OS updates, etc. A kid also needs to not be bogged down by support issues, and have top-notch security. A Macbook is a perfect machine in my opinion. It is what I would buy him or her.

It's not 1995 anymore. Any windows laptop is just as simple to operate and as reliable as a mac.

Btw about the part that she was only having 'macbook' in her head - lots of young women have zero clue about OS, manufacturers, etc. They really believe a macbook is somehow a completely different device than any laptop PC, just because they heard it a lot (marketing, hip friends).

A chick i know who has had an iphone since there are smartphones really thinks it's a completely different device than any other smartphone. It took me a while to understand how these chicks see technology - they're not aware of how something is made, the hardware in it, the software it's running - how it's all the same shit essentially. That part is just completely non-exisitent in their brain.

I once heard 'no i don't want a smartphone. I want an iphone'. They're completely oblivious in that area, and it doesn't matter. Women have other qualities.

My daughter told me she wanted something smaller for college because she would be carrying it around with her so I bought her a new Microsoft Surface. She loves it.

Well, apple is some sort of "luxury PC", so obviously they would rather want luxury version then ordinary one.
