Most of Berlin and larger cities were pretty much on fire at the close of the war.

Berlin may be the largest city fire in mankind's history. I would not expect all of it to survive. Not even half of it that was not directly protected by a bunker that never got hit and there were not many at the close. many of those were burned since they knew they were going to be tried. That is how many of the actors escaped to other country's.
Unless you think there were fireproof and waterproof documents and just no will to burn/destroy what may have survived....

Pittsburgh does not home many like this and the area is full of immigrants of the past looking for work when they got here.

We have a very large population and "everything" is reported.. Somewhere like Russia when the cops kill someone its.. oh we found him dead in a ditch from natural death by gun shot to the head and no one questions it...

You may have described the platform(s) for which he did at least 'some' of his communications,
but to what 'group of people' was he communicating. That is the question.

There are plenty of hate groups out there. They plant a seed and fertilize it. But some plants grow fast naturally.

It is hard to get at the root on the growth of a bad weed, but you do not need to fertilize it.
