Let GFY burn to the ground.

It's beyond hope at this point, it's become a cheap version of GAB on an outdated forum installation.

There are other places real business is done.

No offense. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Your post history is in your profile for all to see.

So, you rather speak to someone who has gained Post count by jumping into the endless political threads instead of taking hard working webmasters serious, hard-working meaning that they don't have time every hour to be busy in 2-5-10 threads at the same time pointing fingers to the other side of the planet. no no, you take user history seriously, well, in that case, your post count is nothing to zero if you actually read the content of your posts. Actually, you are a person that is completely useless on this forum cause you never contributed anything useful to the industry besides your everlasting ranting and political agendas.

There was a need for people like you, 80-90 years ago. So, fuck you with your comment.

No that's not what I'm saying you eratic nut sucker.

I'm saying that people who contribute once a month, or once a year, then complain about what the people who hang out here more are doing, are typically just here to sponge off others and are frustrated they aren't sponging as much from them.

If, out all the active business only sections of GFY, you think the only place you can do business is the "fucking around" section then the problem isn't the people fucking around in the fucking around section :2 cents:

BTW, just a reminder, as I've said many times before, I'm fine with a politics section if that's what admins want, and will abide by the rules as always.

Well according to this pole, 76% voted YES !

Guess that means that most people are fed up with the political bullshit and trolling that seems to swamp this board

Well, if post count matters to you, let's deduct your zero value posts from your total and you are on 1 post per year (if you are lucky) and for someone who claims he is 19 years in this industry and provides for his family, you are pretty much polluting this board, taking it hostage with your political threads and attacks on people leaving no space for people to interact with each other cause you post 6 threads on front page as soon someone contributes a collective knowledge post to this community so his post disappears to page2. That's just plain pathetic. Maybe it is time for you to make a poll and ask people how much they appreciate your existence here.

I answer hosting questions, tech question, SEO, content, etc. when people make threads on industry topics in the "fucking around" section. I also make threads on those topics but obviously not as much as you'd like. I don't get paid to post on gfy I don't get paid to post on industry topics or politics. I'm not responsible for GFY or your grievances. I don't make the rules.

I post in the "fucking around" section when I feel like "fucking around" sometimes it is industry topics and most the time it's politics because that's mostly what the top 12 posters in the "fucking around section post, or I post YouTube videos or other random shit.

As much as you want to blame me for all your bitching and moaning about GFY, and ignore every other daily poster in the "fucking around" section, the "fucking around" section is for "fucking around". Deal with it or bendover for more you stupid bitch.

Seems like a good time to bump this thread as well.

Bumped from the person that contributes nothing here and just gleans info & ideas off everyone else & spams her dead out of date site.

It's the constant politics that has kept the board alive. Business threads need more than people viewing to make a board active, they must reply if only to say thanks.

A forum needs better moderation than GFY has at the moment, certain users need stopping from posting or bumping multiple threads in a day. Bladderwire and Crickett are the worse offenders.

https://gfy.com/search.php?searchid=117564 Crickett 3 a day

https://gfy.com/search.php?searchid=117566 Bladderwire, now add all his fake nicks.

https://gfy.com/search.php?searchid=117568 Bladderwire the 2nd

https://gfy.com/search.php?searchid=117570

But you're left with the problem of a lack of business threads. It's no good people bleating they can't come here to learn, if today no one is interested in teaching them.

What do you do, what can you tell us about your business, what can you teach people, what can you discuss regarding business, what do you want to learn? Answer those andwe can start more business threads.

Paul Markham 07-09-2019 04:35 AM

The only way for GFY to grow is to start becoming a place to promote your sites to consumers. As main stream increasingly makes porn posts harder there is a need for a forum to replace them.

A Twitter and FB for porn and all things adult related. Cam girls can have their own forum posting interesting things about their day in front of the camera. Hookers the same, models and cameramen the same. At first it will only need one forum, but as it grows it can be split to target traffic better.

Let's face it B2B is dwindling, B2C is the only way.

As a business board you're right. :thumbsup

This thread was started on 03-02-2019 and has an over whelming vote for a business section and more business threads. In that time how many of the 34 who voted yes have started or replied to a business thread?

There is no call for a separate forum, no desire for more business threads only a lot of whining from people for something they're not prepared to work for themselves.

how about people who prefer to just read about business, without the itch to post anything?
can't help but feel they might be the majority.
post count is overrated anyway.

I have that fake sold account on ignore and normally I use the excellent code from Mr Pheer https://www.gfy.com/fucking-around-a...08818-gfy.html so I wouldn't see the quote, but I'm on a friend's device.

Apparently, even though he bought a nick which used to be owned by an industry person, that person didn't bother to explain that, when people discuss business, they discuss evolving tech, seek partners/sponsors/vendors, mention what they are up to, maybe share some free stuff. I both start and reply to business threads. I've gotten some great insights here and I'm generous with my own knowledge. FFS, I've spoken on show panels and I've done the official education thread stuff on GFY too: https://gfy.com/gfy-educational-seri...che-sites.html

Nobody actually in this business would try to shame someone for trying to make the conversation more about things webmasters care about like SSL or hosting or password protection or who I could send joins to etc. Those types of topics are literally the point.

Plus the now fake nick politics troll posted with positive excitement in all of my threads with free samples of my photography from SpookyCash. Maybe under the old owner. Maybe the new nick owner before I put him on ignore.

Not good enough if they want the board to revert to business. Threads need bumping to show interest.

I was always pretty friendly with squirtit (even into some of the time after the nick was changed to Bladewire) so I'm baffled.

that would result in lots of empty bumps just for the sake of revival and it would backfire.
i think it's the other way around: if the threads started making sense again, it would lure in more commenters. the responsibility lies with the active userbase.
