And 875 churches were not burned down in France over the last year. I don't know the exact number from what I can find so far, it was only one or two that were burned. The rest were vandalized.

France has a very low christian population despite its 40,000 plus churches. The fact is that most French people do not practice religion.

I’m sure sprinkler systems for older building are exhorbitant due to old wiring, old building materials , etc but a worldwide fundraising campaign to protect the historically significant buildings could pay for it for years. I’m sure someone would donate the system and architects and builders would donate time to figure it all out.

Synagogues would donate because religious artifacts and buildings are rare and worth preserving. Protection of religious, historically significant buildings should break all religions together.
