I have heard that near end of life many old men get very angry and bitter and close out the world as their body & mind starts to fail & shut down.

You can start collecting Social Security at age 62 I’m told but you collect less than age 65 or older.

I don’t know if this is still accurate but you used to have collected x number of quarters working to be eligible. You can work but can only earn a certain amount of money and over that you get less.

I’m limited to two grand a month and I think that’s the norm.

I’m going to their office tomorrow morning to fix my account. Bureaucratic bullshit. You call and are on hold for hours.

I find it hard to believe that you are old enough to be on their radar for benefits, unless you are going for disability as opposed to retirement.

I’ve been getting SSDI since I went into a coma. I’m not old enough for retirement benefits for many years. I won’t live to see that but at least I’m getting back what I paid in to the system.

SSDI pays monthly but not much. When you go from six figures a year to four figures a year and seventy-five percent of this is paid for your living expenses, life becomes very difficult.

Glad you realize that I’m older but not that old yet.

They fucked up severely. A bank account in my name had $5k but they entered it as $500k. Twelve years ago and now they notice it? If I had half a million dollars in one account— which I’d never do — and they paid me for a dozen years, someone would have fucked up big time.
