it was inevitable that this thread will turn into a clash of 2 echo chambers.

an other community i'm a part of has 'thread closing' feature on its forums, meaning, the thread remains there, anyone can read but no further replies can be added. not sure if vBulletin has it as a feature but it is really useful when a thread has already been overdiscussed and all you can further expect is just flame or drive-by shitposting.

Looking great so far.

One thing to consider… When one big component is removed, there will be a vacuum that needs to be filled. You guys now have the unique opportunity to try and fill that vacuum with something good. Not only is it an opportunity, it's also a responsibility. Because if that vacuum is not filled, then bad will flood once again.

What should that good be? I'm not sure, though I'm sure you guys have a few ideas. ;-)

Have to admit, I was skeptical that anything would ever really change around here, but it definitely seems "cleaner" around here.

Now if we can just get sponsors to offer outrageous PPS payouts on trial, we can get back to whining aobut Xsales to pay for it :D

thanks all for the support.

Another small update:

- "Content theft and you" threads where moved to the main section.
- "Now Hiring" and "Business services" merged to "GFY Jobs Marketplace".
- "Domain auctions" section that was kind of dead, has be removed.

A few new sections will be added soon, will make a thread for suggestions as well about it.

I would consolidate where it makes sense. Once the various forums get flooded with a given sort of topic, then breakout. Similar to the politics and Buy/Sell angle.

Different sub forums for various topics that only get a handful of posts daily is not beneficial to anyone.

I agree totally. There are several subjects/verticals that makes sense but step by step. We will make a new thread now about that and ideas/improvements in general, so we can all discuss about it.
