BITCOINS, I have about 500, bought 10years ago, I thought they were a Fad! I guess they are worth something? Maybe I will keep them for awhile.

It looks like you're worth around $14 million before taxes. I'd keep a low profile if I were you! Enjoy your windfall. I wish I had bought even more myself.

Why did I ever get it in my head that cost averaging for BTC purchases was the way to go?

Every day I add more, and every day I wish I had just added today's purchase to yesterday's so I could have made that additional profit :1orglaugh

My thinking is that if/when there is a stock market crash, BTC will drop along with it; but, since new stimulus money is coming; and since the new administration will push for much more stimulus; and since gold is relatively difficult for people to invest in (relative to BTC that is); and since BTC and gold are really the things that investors think about when it comes to inflation hedges; therefore, BTC is much more likely to explode to the upside in momo trades until it actually does hit ~$100,000 short term than it is to fall substantially.

I think I'll just keep adding to my position every day as I have been....

P.S. I told you here about 3 years ago (Bitcoin was $6K) - buy as much as you can and wait for a few years.

You are right, Bitcoin never will be used as cash, it is rubbish as a day to day spending system. Might as well use a stablecoin for payments. But Bitcoin at this stage is digital gold and that's all it ever will be. Gold just isn't popular for younger generations, very few younger people even want to own any gold in terms of jewelry. I think Bitcoin is this generation's gold but it may fall out of fashion with future generations as you do continually need new people to join the "ponzi".

And here we have our crypto clown of 2021 :1orglaugh I predicted already, soon we'll have people bragging/boasting & "i told you so's" when Bitcoin "crashes to $20k" (in this case, crash to $30k)

Bitcoin technical & fundamentals haven't changed. The same techs/funds which brought BTC from $0.01 to $30,000 today.

Sad for you you're not capable of macro zoom outs :Oh crap

You are reduced to defending your wildly fluctuating ponzi coins with "macro zoomouts" while pretending your shitcoins are anything but a speculative lottery ticket...seems to me like you are the clown...gambling is OK...just dont compare it with investment...

I am generally against ponzi schemes...I do not mind bitcoin and think qualified investors should be free to invest where ever they wish...but people who tell the mainstream population that bitcoin is anything but a speculative instrument are lying...it has no real use online, it has not gained in popularity in any meaningful way, 99% of the users are in it for quick lambos...normal people should be made aware of this :2 cents:

BTC is not a ponzi scheme. Learn the definition.
Qualified investors? You mean Wall St.? That's funny.
Nobody is telling the mainstream population BTC is any more than it is. A store of value.
99% of users are not in BTC for quick Lambos. This is an actual lie.
BTC is held by normal people.
If you don't know BTC's use, you have no standing to comment.
BTC has only gained in popularity. Does it have your panties in a wad?
You state that you do not mind BTC, but it seems you mind quite a bit.
Finally, you need to re-assess and try to find an argument that makes sense. What you write is similar to brain-fapping where you ejaculate out of your mouth.

Pink24 01-12-2021 11:34 AM

From a personal point of view I use bitcoin for a couple of different reasons.

1. It was initially an investment. I bought 4 bitoin at £230 and a 5th which was bought as a gift.
Over the years I spent most of this bitcoin. Cashing it to GBP so I could buy food etc.
The amount, overall I made on this investment overall was many times more than I would have ever got in a bank from a similar investment.

2. I believe in the technology. I think the idea behind it is solid and I like being able to store the bitcoin in my own wallet that I own the private keys to.

3. I like getting paid in bitcoin. For me, I wish more adult companies paid in bitcoin. It's just so quick and easy and hassle free.
I have recently been paid by Bongacash in Bitcoin. Conversely, Chaturbate also sent me a cheque around the same time. This is still on the fridge in my kitchen. I tried to take it to the bank but apparently they don't cash foreign checks anymore. I need to post it off, wait weeks for it to be processed and hope it doesn't get lost.

I have also recently had other issues with my bank.
For some reason I couldn't receive the OTP they said to your phone by SMS when you want to make a purchase or send money. It had been going on for a while until I had had enough and then spend 20 minutes jumping through hoops trying to speak to a real person at the bank. They were not helpful and told me to phone my cell phone provider.
They were not helpful so I ended up going into the bank.
I was there almost an hour and eventrually they just told me I needed to use the app.

So, yeah.
