But it's a straw that broke the camel's back situation. The constant drip drip drip of outrage over media created decades ago.

I believe it's because of one simple reason: money. The SJWs have learned how to monetize outrage. Instagram "influencers" and YouTube "stars" have learned that the more views they get = the more ad revenue that gets deposited into their accounts. So guess what?
