There are thousands of free horse tubes on the internet. Those were illegal even before AV. They still exist.

This could be something worth looking into. I'm game and have some ideas. I think figuring out the money spot (hit them where it matters) def needs to be part of the equation.

(Asorelli, it's not that I necessarily disagrees with you, but you are very recent. So what are you trying to do ?)

2MuchMark 07-27-2025 06:24 AM

Let's be honest. The whole "Click here if you are 18" idea is something we in the adult industry have got away with for way too long. It is of course, a complete joke that never did anything to stop minors from accessing adult content.

The new age verification requrements present 2 main issues: A technology challenge (my favourite), and a sales challenge.

The technology: How can you detect where a user is coming from? How can you then verify his age legally, while simultaneoulsy protecting his privacy? The sales challenge: How do you keep the customer on your site when faced with the age verification requirement? How do you keep him from leaving?

First, you can at least relax in knowing that the technology is already here. We have one. Yoti is another excellent one.

As for SELLING it, that is completely up to you. Be creative and experiment. Even A/B-test it like you should already be doing with membership signups. Challenges are good. Pour another coffee and get to work.

The problem is that in some states even going to non nude doesn't stop issues if they want to be assholes. And the cost to verify is far too high to support most current models. More consolidation to come.

There are many ways to have someone support porn without having to admit they support porn. It's more about trying to be creative about things.

I don't follow every bit of news, and absolutely stay away from politics, sorry to disappoint. Now how about you answer some questions that I asked, instead of the typical hit and run, and "get a plug" for your software that I see you like to do.

Age verification laws and their potential impact on freedom of speech can bleed out elsewhere, and with recent developments, particularly the Supreme Court's decision in Free Speech Coalition v. Paxton, I thought I would join in on the debate. If you think it's just discussed here, go check the interwebs, the ruling has sparked considerable debate about their implications for freedom of speech on many other online platforms. While the specific ruling applies to age verification for online content "obscene to minors", its potential impact on broader freedom of speech issues is a significant concern. Seeing that these new laws stemmed from the adult community, no better place to have a discussion about it. One would think at least ... :1orglaugh

I don't know the exact quote, but aren't you the same dude that said the govt should be responsible for handling the id verifications. Seriously, for reals? :1orglaugh

If you're more concerned with attacking and/or trying to diminish my character, then the issue itself, then there is a bigger problem, no doubt. And if you want to have the arrogant approach that "oh, we've done this and we've done that, the best this and the best that, and where have you been?!" then again, bigger problems at hand. :2 cents:

I ran one through my dumbass.ai for you, do I really have to do the second one? :1orglaugh

🔹 Initial Misunderstanding (Post #6)
asorelli responded with:
"why don't you just create the layout using AI? Then utilize the API..."
This assumed mainstreammix was asking how to create a layout or integrate feeds.
But in reality, the original post had already shown a layout and was clearly asking:
  • []What free or paid tools are there?
[]Are there CPA networks with lots of promo material?
There was no request for layout advice or help with API integration.
asorelli answered a question that wasn’t asked.

🔹 Ignoring the Clarification (Posts #7–8)
When mainstreammix clarified:
"I mean that’s my layout. lol"
Instead of acknowledging the point, asorelli doubled down:
"Look for their API info, then just create a function to pull the data..."
He continued giving advice on something the OP had already implemented.

🔹 Misrepresenting the Topic (Post #10)
asorelli made a snide remark:
"You wanna manually grab the promo material and integrate it? That goes against all your AI agenda..."
This was a strawman — mainstreammix never suggested manually grabbing anything.
It misrepresented the post to criticize a made-up point.

🔹 Deflecting Blame and Reframing (Posts #12–14)
When called out, asorelli blamed the OP:
"Clarity is key. I don't think AI can read minds yet."
But the question was already clear — others like LouiseLloyd and emmasexytime understood it without issue.
He reframed the exchange to make it about vagueness, instead of admitting his own off-topic assumption.

🔹 Escalation and Defensiveness (Posts #16–20)
Even when the OP quoted his post to demonstrate its clarity, asorelli still refused to acknowledge the misread.
Instead, he:
  • []Claimed he was "fact-checking"
    []Called the OP a "bloviator"
  • Tried to back out while still throwing jabs

I agree 100%, and I also agree that they are being completely assholish about it. The law is more about winning and keeping votes from evangelicals than protecting kids. Regardless, the law is the law.

And agreed the cost is high...but what choices do we have?

No choice, I just don't see a way for smaller sites to comply UNTIL a company finds a much cheaper solution and shares the age verification bringing the costs down.

You should write it. :1orglaugh

Obviously, none at the moment, other than to appease the gods or get out.

However, there are several other ways to approach this. It appears people are more concerned about who I am, or why I don't know this, as if only their opinions matter. Anyway, it is what it is.

When lawsuits and criminal charges start rolling out, good luck. If you think you're safe because you've integrated an age verification method, you are sadly mistaken.

You can't own a single thing in regards to Conservatives. Those pushing, lobbying for and introducing bills are almost entirely Republicans.

But hey, blaming tubes again is cute. As if they would be fine with all the other porn out there as long as it didn't end in tube.com :1orglaugh

But to be fair, they only told you what they would do, wrote it down, bragged about it at every step and then did it. Anyone could have missed that!

Quote:

📍 Texas House Bill 1181 (88th Legislature, 2023)
HB 1181 was introduced in the Texas House by Rep. Cody Harris Leach (R) as the committee substitute sponsor, replacing the original author Rep. Shaheen (R). It was co‑sponsored by approximately 20 Republican legislators, including Reps. Bettencourt (R), Alvarado (R), Birdwell (R), Campbell (R), Creighton (R), Flores (R), Hall (R), Hinojosa (R), Huffman (R), Hughes (R), King (R), Kolkhorst (R), LaMantia (R), Menéndez (R), Middleton (R), Parker (R), Perry (R), Sparks (R), West (R), and Zaffirini (R), making it a strongly GOP‑backed effort

.

The legislation was publicly championed by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (R), who defended HB 1181 in courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court. Advocacy in support also came from a coalition of Republican state attorneys general and conservative lawmakers. The bill faced opposition from civil‑liberties organizations such as the ACLU, EFF, and Free Speech Coalition, which warned of privacy infringements and First Amendment violations

On the House floor vote (RV#1285), HB 1181 passed 135–5: 79 Republicans and 56 Democrats voted "Yea", while all 5 "Nay" votes were cast by Democrats. One Republican abstained, and nine members were absent (three Democrats, six Republicans)

. No Republican voted against the bill.

⚖️ U.S. Supreme Court — Free Speech Coalition v. Paxton (June 27, 2025)
In a 6‑3 decision, the U.S. Supreme Court upheld HB 1181, ruling that Texas’ age‑verification requirement for websites with one-third or more sexual content harmful to minors was constitutional under intermediate scrutiny. Justice Clarence Thomas (conservative) wrote the majority opinion, joined by Chief Justice John Roberts, and Justices Alito, Barrett, Kavanaugh, and Gorsuch. They concluded that the law places only an “incidental” burden on adult speech and is narrowly tailored to protect minors, an interest states are permitted to pursue

The dissent was authored by Justice Elena Kagan (liberal), joined by Justices Sonia Sotomayor and Ketanji Brown Jackson. They argued the law should have triggered strict scrutiny, not intermediate, asserting that it overly restricts adults’ access to constitutionally protected speech and imposes significant privacy risks

Dude it’s both parties. When both agree there is a deeper reason. The NC bill was all dems. Sure, is there some religious fuckery attacking porn? Yes, but so is the far left. Porn is the new israel, bro. Everyone hates it today. And ya, it was the tubes.

Yeah, a massive data breach is on the horizon with this for sure. Look at the tea app, and "leak of data".

According to their tos:

"Signing up for Tea requires users to take selfies, which the app says are deleted after review, to prove they are women."

Sounds a lot like what yoti and the other face scan providers are pitching. :1orglaugh

*However, I will say it again, I do believe there are many ways to have someone support porn without having to admit they support porn.

*No, I'm not going to outline everything here*

Note: To be clear, nowhere did I mention to NOT DO ANY VERIFICATION, only that you should do your due diligence on the provider you choose, or if possible, do your own internal age verification. It will be much cheaper in the long haul, and the data is yours, not some 3rd parties. But, ya'll can do whatever the fuck you want, I couldn't care less.

~40–60% may identify as liberal or intersectional feminists (if feminist at all).

~30–50% may be leftists who support feminist ideals but don’t strongly identify as feminists.

Probably <5% are radical feminists, depending on how strictly you define it.
