Then affiliates came into the picture, small and big time, part time and full time, indy paysite exit links and large scale tgp traffic investments on the part of individual webmasters...and this it where it really get's personal. Back in the day, no matter what - at the end of the day everyone drinks and everyone eats. Now it's so dog eat dog we are fighting for every penny earned, and there's no more room to 'play games' with profits.

The industry is much more corporate than ever before. You don't see sucessful programs like PussyCash and SexSearch involved in drama like this...a personal degree. FriendFinder is making bank and doesn't seem to really need 'us' anymore. The biz is what you make of it. Program owner, or webmaster.

And just as affiliates have to choose sponsors carefully, and ride the high revenue tides as long as they can, stability will play out as the big picture comes to show that programs must be just as careful in screening affiliates, in order to survive and keep the tides flowing.
