http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adware
"Some adware is also shareware, and so the word may be used as term of distinction to differentiate between types of shareware software. What differentiates adware from other shareware is that it is primarily advertising-supported. Users may also be given the option to pay for a "registered" or "licensed" copy to do away with the advertisements." "It is not uncommon for people to confuse "adware" with "spyware" and "malware", especially since these concepts overlap. For example, if one user installs "adware" on a computer, and consents to a tracking feature, the "adware" becomes "spyware" when another user visits that computer, and interacts with and is tracked by the "adware" without their consent." |

I find it amusing that porn site owners really hate that they get lumped in with popup hell sites and virus installing porn sites... that because some are scum, we all get lumped in and lose out on tons of business because of those low lifes who made people think that all are scum and not accept that some sites really are ok to visit.
And yet.... these same people who hate that so adamently refuse to believe that anything can ever be installed without there being spyware or trojans included. They're so blinded by the hate, that they refuse to believe there's a single piece of software out there that is actually legal... that actually has an "I accept" button... that might not be designed just to cause harm. |
those install companies you sell traffic to, is it a one-program install or are they bundlers?

Ok guys, I am out for a little while...
I am going to run down to the library and try and install some more copies of spyware on their computers so I can make another $1.00 an install. Wish me luck!! :) DH |

I have never done one install or email join in my life and i sent over 18,000 signups to clickcash alone last year. Nice justification, because you make money doing it, it is ok to do it ? If all adultwebmasters could sling drugs on the corner I am sure they would turn that down and sit in the basement making galleries instead? moron. |

Can someone summarize this for me... GTS sells traffic to the guys who hijack the affiliate code of the WMs that are also buying traffic from GTS?

I'm not blind when it comes to spyware, but many others here obviously are. And just because it has an "I accept" button doesn't make it right or legal. Most people don't have a clue what spyware is, they just realize something is wrong when their computer no longer functions or they're stuck in popup hell. A lot of this stuff is targeted to kids and teenagers too... Does that make it ok if a 13 yr old who doesn't know any better clicks on "I accept" because he wants to play a game? Do you really think that people read pages and pages of TOS to see what they're getting? There's a reason that these companies make the text font really small, or have several pages of TOS, because they know damn well that people won't take the time to read it. Surfers have some liability in all of this, but adware companies exploit the internet as much as they can. Missie |
bump for knowledge, bump for life...

oooooh come on perlease!!! We all know files are getting more compressed and small from sites like yahoo, but yet when you download the same product you have had since 1999, the files downloaded seem to get bigger in MB! Strangly the amount of shit they are lumping on. Yahoo toolbars, homepage etc Ok, they may be legal, but you still get so much shit. If your a busy body like me and dont read everything u often install everything. And I aint the dumbest surfer around :winkwink: This is done 10x worse than companies who aint yahoo etc. |

If you dont like the laws....change . Don't bitch to me. I don't make the rules....just play the game. |

DH through P2PADS either does installs himself or sells traffic to people who do installs (or both) and claims he only fools with " legal " install companies. And basically has an attitude fuck you thats what we do, we will do anything legal. Well technically Zango is legal, so it is very likely that the installs he works with is fucking everyone of us here as well as his other p2p clients that he sells traffic to. he also will not post the names of the installs he does business for. It most be something reputable like google toolbars, yeah i bet thats it. :1orglaugh /cliffnotes |

I knew he wouldn't answer the question and name the companies. What a joke! He probably went to the library to do a little research of his own. One can only hope. :) Missie |
