Because branding can't possibly increase your profits by as much as 25%... and it costs SO much less money to get a new customer than to retain one. Bah... branding... I mean... whats the point of it? Didn't do shit for Nike, or Coca-Cola, or Apple, or Playboy....:winkwink:

Allow me to correct myself, Oprano posted my pm's. But it doesn't matter, as they say here in Thailand, same, same.

Another thing you and the Oprano jerks have in common is the thought that they are all powerful. What are you Damage the "wonderful wizard of porn"?

Forest as I recall, you requested the meeting. And then you were about as rude as anyone I've ever thought about doing business with. Excuse me for sending you the newsletter before you unsubscribed. It was a mistake. I only meant to send that out to people who would understand sound marketing concepts.

Gonzo and I heard all about how ethical you are man. I was speaking with one of the most respected people in this industry last night, who will go nameless. Scum, slimeball, asshole, jerk and dick was how you were described. And those were the nice things he had to say. Your board is known by the good and ethical people in this business as a sewer and he told me to steer clear. And you and Toby were the ones who posted my pm's, not Ask Damage. So the only thing that makes you a bigger dick then them is that you break the law. Oh, I forgot fat bastard, sorry.

Well, if you'd read the entire thing instead of just a snipet from it you'd understand Andrea. It works if you have billions of dollars. But if you don't there are better ways to market.

No, actually- I did read the whole thing - not just a snippet - and it blew my mind. Marketing is a whole number of things, and branding is one of those things. It's a sound marketing strategy to build brand loyalty, if for no other reason than it costs less to retain an existing customer than it does to acquire a new one.

ANY good marketing plan should include a strategy to entice existing customers to not only stay with your product but to recommend it to others - as well as to draw in new clientele. But establishing a brand identity WILL bring in new clientele - even for a small company. It separates the wheat from the chaff and makes you stand out amongst your competition.

Not to add salt to the wounds but the hothardcash.com sites are some of the worst sites ever. Even worse is that the 2257 address is listed in Thailand, with Thai content.

Not the work of a brilliant businessman :2 cents:

You mean like making a complete fool out of yourself on half the adult webmaster boards out there? Yes, I agree, great exposure.

Here you go Brucey, buy this, it'll set you back much less than 40 grand and actually teach you something. Once you've read it, come back and play marketer with us.

The point is, that you didn't say it at all. I don't think I need to read the tips and newsletters, actually. I'm confident that I'm more than familiar with marketing concepts and strategies. And we DO fundamentally disagree.

"We don't believe in marketing just for the sake of "branding". Branding doesn't sell, creative marketing does sell."

Not to turn this into a Marketing 101 lesson, but:

1. ALL marketing is a creative venture on some level.
2. "Branding" is at the heart of creative marketing.

With no brand awareness, with no brand consistency, with no brand relevance, you're throwing away money in your marketing efforts. You become a sheep amid all the other sheep.

Your job as a marketing professional is to discover and understand your clients customer, set your client apart from their competition, create a message that is relevant to that customer, and to deliver it frequently, creatively and consistently. If you do that, the brand builds itself. But to say that branding doesn't sell? That's cutting off your nose to spite your face. "Branding" is the ultimate goal of marketing.

unlike you I work smart not hard. I have a staff and a manager to manage that staff so I can market and drum up new business with a formula that actually works. I have the luxury of taking my gf to lunch and going to the gym and trade my stocks all while making money in the adult internet.

If you want to pay me 40k Id be more then happy to show u the secrets. It would be a much better investment then your ebooks you keep copy and pasting
