$500K ... and that's being generous.

GFY has lots of traffic, but it's mostly the same people. Lot less new people coming in compared to several years ago when the on-line adult business was all the rage; GFY is stagnating.

What makes it far worse is GFY lacks depth - it's basically nothing more than a message forum.

GFY should move the forums to a sub-domain, such as forums.gfy.com, and put up a homepage on gfy.com along with about a dozen or so content pages to start - that would revigorate GFY, and give it a solid future.

A couple years ago when you could count the number of advertisers in the drop-down menu it used to have, GFY was grossing a million and change per year.

I like the 'run-from-a-garage' style of GFY where everyone can just post whatever they fucking like (just about).

this thread is wrong from the beginning. It should be changed to

Yep. And also, look how long this board can stay alive without ANY kind of promotion. GFY hasn't done any in-house contests, or anything at all to make people post more and attract new people, and the board is still going pretty strong.

That alexa ranking is ridiculous. I have a forum with about 450.000 posts and it has about the same ranking.
But forum's in general took a hit from google about a half year ago or so.

But gfy screws itself with the rankings, anyway.
There are at least three domains that show this board.
gfy.com, gofuckyourself.com and another domain that I found by accident but forgot the name of.

no, come on ....i am sure its much more than that....we wont know unless every is counted for....members ( active and non active ) , advertisers, traffic, software, hardware, etc...

But anyways, the point is that Playboy can do a lot more with this site than they are now.....
