50 Extremely happy customers at www.techiemedia.com :thumbsup I will have to give my props to the Techiemedia team as well. There hosting is by far some of the best available. I have been with several of the most well known names on this board and to be honest I can't believe some of them are known for even being good when in reality they don't even come close. Anyway if your serious about your hosting then add Techiemedia to your list of potential new hosts the next time your current hoist fails you with bad support, some unexplained long downtime or anything else that pisses you off.:2 cents::2 cents::pimp

"Old school" pricing sucks. Long term customers should be rewarded with more current rates without having to ask. I've been a victim of this myself, discovered that a host dropped their pricing significantly more than a year prior, while I was still paying the same monthly fee for a server that had probably been written off 2 years earlier......

I host my sites with Yellow Fiber. I know Spudster personally, and I like the fact that I have a direct line with the owner of Yellow Fiber whenever I need assistance. I think you should give them serious consideration.

Wow this was a nice thread to see and read. :) I would like to say thanks to everyone who posted and had such kind words about us. It is true that we have been around for many years and have an extensive background in the free hosting and traffic biz. I would like to think that we took that experience and expanded on it to create what we feel is a very High Caliber hosting company. We strive to keep up with the latest in hardware technology, bandwidth pricing, and overall Network Infrastructure Superiority. To us our tech support is one of the most important aspects of everyone's hosting experience so we work very hard at maintaining the highest level of tech and customer support.

Milkman I was very glad to work with you on a new plan that fits your needs a bit better, remember you can always talk to me.

Once again a Big Thanks to all who have supported us.:thumbsup

So when is it a bad thing to be close and personal with the owner of your hosting? Personally I'd rather be friends with the guy who hosts me and is willing to be forgiving and work out deals than someone who just gives a fuck about collecting money. :2 cents:

it would not surprise me if you posted this thread in there asking people to come say good things about you

I don't hang out in any IRC channel and rarely talk to Spudstr, so what's your excuse now?

I have not been on irc in months. So please check your facts about things before you start making stupid assumptions. Some people who have posted on this thread I don't even recall ever talking to. Just because we are not some hosting company that has been around for ~10 years doesn't make us a bad host. Our customers are loyal and we do zero marketing. All our customers are referral based and no, we don't pay commission on referrals. So obviously we are doing something right.

All in all this is GFYafter all and people who have no first hand experience with anything just love to give their own two cents about everything.

I respect every company and person we deal with and have respect for Techie/mojo/webair/etc we each do things differently and therefor customers will have different views and opinions on everyone and the way we handle things.

Fags, all 5 of us!

I've been hosting with YF for almost 2 years now, and have never had any problems. I like the personal attention I get from Zak and his staff, and it is reassuring knowing that the man in charge is also a skilled sysadmin with a shitload of experience. We communicate and relate on a level that I would not get dealing with a large company with several layers of support and sales staff.

Fat Panda 01-30-2009 10:36 PM

Techie Media hosting is exceptional, would suggest them to anyone including my grandma

CDSmith 02-06-2009 03:08 PM

Add one more to the Techiemedia camp.

I've known Wayne and Jim for many years now. Like others I used to host a lot of sites on their freehosts back in the day, and host some sites with them today with Techiemedia. The word "exceptional" doesn't even begin to cover it, hosting is what these guys do, period.

The other company in this thread I know very little about. I've head of them, but beyond that nothing. Although judging by the comments in this thread they sound like quite a good hosting choice as well.

I can only vouch for what I know from experience though --- and that's Techiemedia.
