So when the white lady told me to not look at porn at my next job, I told that bitch that I was going to get paid for what she just fired me for.....I had already bought my domain name and had a popular yahoo club at the time so I went home, built the site, put up ccbill, and sent an email to my yahoo club....Within an HOUR, I had my first sale and I've been doing this ever since.......A year later, I sent an email to the boss and the couple of snitches with me in the DR with two bitches and told them that I'm making more than my boss....

So YES, when I was fired, they dig me one of the biggest favors of my entire life....

Fuck the haters.

"Laid Off"

I made the same mistake saying I was "fired" when in fact I was only laid off, unless he was terminated for some reason? :2 cents:

"Laid Off" is old school. We now call it a "RIF". (Reduction In Force):Oh crap

Good thing you're not too upset about it

HorseShit 02-07-2009 09:36 AM

Ace_luffy 02-07-2009 02:28 PM

Sometimes there's a bad scene, but it's really nobody's fault, so you can't be bent. Flaming Playboy won't help you find a job anyway. You have a pretty sweet gig under your belt, I'm sure you'll find something cool!

Best of luck!

not everybody has the entrepreneurial mindset and personality - definitely not the majority - for every person who loses a job and something better comes out of it there are many more that don't get something better - and in today's economy it's worse.

this guy is a programmer - and in this industry if he's any good he should not starve - everybody including me is always looking for dependable freelance coders and lots are looking for full time in house guys.

VicD 02-07-2009 04:17 PM

hey man, that sucks..

Would you want a potential future employer to see you ripping the shit out of your former employer? Maybe if you're KB, but otherwise I don't see it helping.

Monday bump for an old co-worker and current friend.

I hope you get exactly what you need to replace the old shop, Jeff.

Call me if you need a reference, or help getting your name out there. I'm about to go to Xbiz, so I can keep an ear out for you, possibly.

I know its a bit of a trek, but we should do lunch.
