my sites are not rated good on many reviews sites because my tours are not fancy enough lol (real reason is because I do not have PPS) |

Secondly, I've been in the freesite and affiliate business longer than any of those guys that have review sites, and to your theoretical statements here...I say go to REAL surfer forums and do some reading that these poor ignorant surfers write there. Newsflash: They DO type in urls. Just like I always have done as a guy who always knew how affiliate programs work. For instance, when I wanted to buy music gear...I would always sign up for the affiliate program first and THEN buy a new amp or guitar with my link and get some of my money back. And no, I'm not trying to make a "drama" thread. This is business. Not drama. And it happens to be my specialty. If you don't agree, who cares? Continue on. It doesn't really matter anyway now. But what I am saying is the exact reason why so many of us are hurting as affiliates...and meanwhile on the paysite side a lot of us just keep growing and growing. How? Type-ins. At least that's what's happening for me. Surfers have been given the keys to the kingdom as far as the affiliate model and the free site model goes. |
Sales are up due to creative marketing. Profit ... we will see in 90 days. :)

Oh and Steve...check out this link that is on our claudia-marie review over on The Best Porn in case you are unaware:
http://www.thebestporn.com/review_af...e.html?id=2359 Please don't tell me that isn't giving away the business... |
The 'Best' Porn sucks..... imho

jan & feb were practically identical, literally off by a few cents. (on the avg not on the total since jan had 3 more days than feb)

They work hard and do a good job. But the whole "Let's educate the surfer and then make them think we are the good guys" part of the equation is/was/and always will be a mistake. I've said it before and I'll say it again...no other business does that. Once you pulled back the curtain and showed that Oz is really just a normal person there is no going back. And the curtain has been pulled and all surfers are now aware of affiliate programs. And it didn't start there. It started a few years before review sites existed. Back when programs were putting huge WEBMASTERS MAKE $$$ on their site tours and hosted galleries. That was the beginning. And now we're kinda looking at the end for the affiliate. Only a few who can somehow figure a way to get around the fact that the entire free site business model has been destroyed will do well. Remember...for those of you who have been in this business for less than 10 years...the reason a "free site" worked was it created the ILLUSION of a guy who just wanted to share all this free porn he had found. That was the main marketing strategy. It still is. It's the one that worked for TGPs. It's the one that fuels a Review Site (Just super nice guys who took the time to review all these sites and make sure you don't join a shitty one). It's the concept behind blogging. Yes, I know that each of those things work completely different. But the basics are still the same. Kinda like how "Star Wars" is really the same formula as a Cowboy movie. Just a different way to set the plate. And now? Surfers now give that "he's a nice guy sharing his porn" status to... Torrent Sites and Illegit Tubes. And why not? Neither of those try to sell him a membership. And they give him everything for free. They don't see or care that the sites in question are making bank from prepaid spots. Why should they? Just sayin', sometimes things backfire. And I think that exposing our business would have got you an "F" in Business 101 |
Craptacular!

I am def. changing gears on my business model. One is integrating cams with my models... have an opportunity rolling right now and hope to get it up in a couple weeks. My main reasoning is people want the sense of interaction with the girls. Also, traffic profitting in general. Their are a shitload of webmasters getting a ton of traffic to their site and I know many are not getting the sales. My thought is to find a group of webmasters willing to offer promo's once in awhile for 2 sites for the price of 1. The idea is you have a large variety of different sites... you can have the option to offer different multi site deals. It's essentially a way to double your traffic, each site owner offers the same deal, and the idea is to better the conversions. Just an idea. Their would be some programming and split sub-accounts required to make it work. |
I'm way the fuck down. I just got done figuring numbers up for taxes etc and 07 was way fucking better than 08. I grossed the same but had to spend double the money to make the same money in 08. 2009 is not looking good.
