Texas has no more right to secede than any other state.

However, Texas may be divided into five states, which would increase the total of senators representing the state as well as increase the amount of electoral votes over the number for the single state.

So what is this special tax he is talking about? I read the link to the resolution and it really says nothing. They are talking about tax increases. Is he talking about the tax increase that Obama will be putting on people earning over 250K a year or something else?

femdomdestiny 04-14-2009 08:54 PM

oh my god

I think these guys simply don't know what are you starting and how this can end.I saw this shit in my country long ago....

Damn this board is full of the dumbest motherfuckers in the world, you guys can't even comprehend what this is about. Texas is not "seceding" from anything, they are simply reinforcing the 10th Amendment as have MANY other states lately, because yes, even if you are still in denial about it, it is true that the federal government has been overstepping it's boundaries for years now... and people are actually starting to do something about it. It is a resolution telling the central government to back the fuck off.

Do you really thing every state can get back what they put in ?

LOL

Of course the taxes help pay things for the federal govt, that's a given. If you actually read what I wrote instead of being so fast to call the idiot, maybe you would get the point I was making.

Let's take Texas and Cali for example here. Both states collect and pay in far more taxes than say Alaska. Both states Cali & Tx have either a state sales tax or state income tax on their residents.

Meanwhile, a state like Alaska has no state sales tax, and charges no state income tax, for the most part taxes are only collected from big business, letting their residents get a free ride. Yet this state still gets back of two times what it pays to the Federal govt.

Meaning the people in Texas, Cali, Florida and all the other states that don't get back their 100% are flipping the bill. These very states are all having budget problems and cutting spending for things like education and various other things that serve the very people whom paid their hard earned tax dollars yet they don't see it returned because it goes to states like Alaska that can't pay their own way.

While of course I understand there will always be a situation like this, but there is no excuse that the residents of states like Texas, Florida Cali ect..ect.. should be paying more taxes per person while a state like Alaska lets their residents get off scott free and still gets double the tax dollars back.

This is what those Right wingers all love to screem and shout about when it comes to welfare, yet when it's their own state that is getting welfare then they never say a word.

Fuck Texas, the US should boot them out of the Union, our national IQ average would immediately go up by 14 points.

Sadly, understated post, 100% correct though.

The nations biggest problem is stupidity!!

Wonder how many US citizens could pass the naturalization test???

A perfect example of my last post.

Would SuckOnThis say the same about the other states that pasted the same resolution. For example, CA TN, MO......

I'm not going to argue that the federal government has overstepped their bounds, but people aren't doing anything. It's a small group of people mailing teabags to some people in government because they are upset their side lost.

What Perry did was just a dumb political stunt. Nothing changes and nothing will.

That is where you are horribly wrong, man.

This has NOTHING to do with the Republican/Democrat paradigm. This is not a party thing, it's a government vs. the people thing. It doesn't matter which stupid ass party is in power, the same shit is still going on. Clinton, Bush, Obama, it doesn't fucking matter. It's all the same shit... Americans keep falling for it every 4 years.

The media is trying to paint patriots who believe in liberty and the constitution as "right-wing extremists" now because the "Democratic" party happens to currently be in power. When Bush was in office, all of the terrible freedom-lovers were labeled as "left-wing hippies" and shit like that. Wake up, this has nothing to do with fucking right and left, the government has been expanding for decades now and most people who run our government are members of organizations who are pushing for globalization and the end of our sovereignty. That is what these Tea Parties tomorrow are SUPPOSED to be about, but now that people from Fox News have infiltrated the movement they are making it seem as if it is simply about "taxes." lol.

Come on man. Look at the people pushing the tea parties. It's at the front of the GOP's website. Tons of Republican Congressman are going and it's the topic of the month at all the conservative blogs. Perhaps this wasn't a Republican/Democrat issue, but one party has made a great attempt at taking over the movement.

Nonetheless, nothing is going to change. The majority of the people in this country want the government involved more. It's why they voted the way they have the last few years. It's why Ron Paul was getting so few votes. It totally sucks if you're someone who doesn't want big government, but unfortunately they are in the minority. There are a lot of things I'd love to see the government keep their noses out of, but I'm probably in the minority on that too. All I can do is vote for the guys I think represent my interests and hope others feel the same.

The Tea Parties began as a completely grassroots movement made up mostly of what people would call "conspiracy theorists," people who understand that our country was hijacked many many years ago, and that the heart of their power is the privately owned Federal Reserve. Things like the FED and the bailouts and globalization were supposed to be at the core of these protests, until, as you pointed out, the mainstream media pretty much took over the whole thing. Fox News is the main culprit, their anchors are going to be at the Tea Parties. They are turning it into another Right/Left thing to keep everyone distracted from the real issues, which are the Federal Reserve and the threatening of our national sovereignty. (see the last G-20 meeting for globalization stepping-stones)

I understand what you're saying. I do know there is a grassroots movement on that stuff. I had Ron Paul supporters stopping by a lot last year with literature and stuff. But unfortunately that movement hasn't been able to shed itself from those trying to own the movement (Republicans). I mean it's tough to pass off the message as grassroots when it's being blasted on the front of the GOPs website.

The movement really needs to find a way to seperate themselves quickly from the Sean Hannittys of the world trying to take it over.

Don't you see what they're doing? They infiltrated the truth movement with people like Glenn Beck. Even most of the Fox News crew like Hannity are on board now too. It's so obvious. Obviously it's tough to pass off the message as grassroots now because they are purposefully slandering the movement as if it's a "Republican" thing. They want you to think that since a black democrat got elected that all of the sudden these groups of "Republican" protestors happened to popup because they are upset that their "team" lost the election, when in reality the people who started these protests have been fed up for years now... since during the Bush administration, since during the Clinton administration, hell... basically since the Federal Reserve Act of 1913. This has nothing to do with Obama or Bush or party lines.

The "grassroots" people didn't want to associate themselves with the GOP, the GOP wanted to associate themselves with the grassroots movement in order to confuse the rest of the country as to what is really being protested. All Hannity's dumbass keeps talking about is "taxes." Taxes are just a small part of what is being protested.
