Fiddy HD formats

my friend is a fulltime mainstream videographer. Tv,news, weather channel. He still shoots about half of his assignments with a betacam. I read an article in a video mag, that what youtube showed was people really dont give a shit about hd. They care about interesting content. I have never had a member ask for hd and Ive been doing this 10 yrs this june. There are a few interesting hd cams coming on the horizon, Im thinking about upgrading not because I have to have hd.It's because there are no more sd cams.

So Jim you have more time and money involved in shooting HD, plus a higher quality product than SD, but should charge the same? :winkwink:

Give your clients what they want, although sometimes you shoot a great looking scene and then you see it online and you wonder what happend to it?. I think unless your clients know how to process the scene it will look like crap! when it is streaming.

This is the downfall of HDV, not many people are shooting in HD, they are shooting in HDV.
