About the same with me. Closest ever was at a college football game when I got kicked out an hour before the game for tripping over a fucking step after 17 beers and some shots of vodka. I'm lucky they didn't send me to the drunk tank.

5 or 6 times ranging from 4 to 36 hours. The "funny" thing is it was for no reason, all of them for "background checking". Let's say I had a quite wild look when I was young and we were out of a long dictatorship and heavy repression, so it wasn't the best time to look "suspicious" or "antisystem", lol.

Oh, that's right I forgot. Wasn't my fault any of the times either...

..both times to visit my nephew, who was in for getting caught doing B&E's back in the late 80's. Best thing that could have happened to him because it straitened his ass out big time, he grew up quick after doing his 4 months and has never gone back.

When I was 19 I was driving to my parents house from my grandma's for dinner about a 2 mile drive. I was pulled over because 1 of my headlights was out also I think I had 1 taillight out also. After talking to the officer for a few minutes he asked me to get out of the car. By this time there were 4 officers there. They were flashing their flashlights in my face checking my eyes,i think at one point I was told to close my eyes and I guess I started swallowing too much, my heart rate was elevated because I was nervous. My eyes were not responding correctly to the flashlight I guess. They asked to search my car and I let them.

I told them that I had never drank, smoked or ever used any illegal drugs in my life, which was the truth and they laughed at me. After about 1 hour I was put in hand cuffs and taken to the police station where I was put in a room and asked more questions, I was told to take a urine test but I was un able to urinate with him standing over my shoulder, then I was taken to the hospital in handcuffs and had my blood drawn. After that I was taken to the booking place where I was first strip searched, bend over cough all that. Then I was moved to the telephone room and called my family by this time it was after midnight. Then I was moved to the next cell where most of the people were lying on the dirty floor asleep or half asleep,i guess drunks. I then went to a window and gave them my information and asked how long I would have to stay here because I didn?t do anything wrong and she told me she didn?t know. But I think after about 8 hours I was finally released but not before serving us a piece of discolored green ham and some other crap I didn?t eat.

About a month later I went to court and the charges were dropped. I think it was the day after I got released my mom contacted a lawyer to see if there was anything we could do,i wanted to sue the officer but was told they can arrest you for any reason and there was nothing I could do.

my brother went to prison in 2004 for 12 months, after like 3 weeks his appeal was accepted so they transfered him to an 'open prison' - much to his relief. He phoned me up one time and said 'next time you visit me bring the 'ITV digital set-top-box'

once when i was 15, got caught shoplifting and the cops put me in the drunk tank with a naked indian covered in puke, until my parents picked me up. was there around 3 hours i think.

then another time just a couple of years ago, to do a breathalizer test, i passed, and was locked up for around 2 hours.
