Smoke Grass, Dont Mow It!
To Mow is To Murder!
Trim Bush, Not Lawns!

Bumper stickers, locked n loaded.

Who do you think would be liable if he hurt himself, or clipped a parked car, or damaged a sprinkler head, hit a kid?

And he wasn't arrested for mowing the lawn.

In this case...who are they serving and protecting?

I applaud the guy's actions. Sometimes civil disobedience is the only way of affecting positive change.

Wouldn't be the first time - certainly won't be the last.

So I guess you can just cut down trees and repaint road markings as you please also?

technically no... but realistically yes...

Lets not split hairs here...

I understand your guys' argument about property damage... sprinkler heads is what i immediately thought of... not cars nor kids ...

still though... the guy was doing a good deed for all... I get maybe that he should stopped when asked... but seriously...

put your prone to debating aside... If you were that cop... would you arrest the guy for mowing a park? only because another guy comes along and says hey, that guy is doing my job...

If he was the town drunk or if he was spouting cop slurs while riding about on his mower, perhaps, but soleyl for moqing a lawn I do not see justification...

not the same thing at all.. what was he doing destructing public property? by dismembering the grass?

But that is the thing . . . he wasn't.

Have you ever used a power mower? Have you ever had a rock go shooting out the chute? What happens if he does that and a rock puts out an eye?

You don't just go on your own and maintain public property. You can't assume everyone has the same idea about what is proper maintenance.

The analogy highlighted a situation where an individual took it upon themselves to alter public property without permission, very simply.

must have been a job security issue for city workers

Next time he'll just cover the field in salt instead.

you have a point there... We dont know if he was using a shoddy ole snapper or not though... whether it was a nice new one with built in protection for such things or not

I can rationalize with that argument...

Still... arrested?

how unruly was he... i guess it all comes down to that with me...

He at very least made a statement to his city and their underkeeping...

Of course. Obviously, unruly enough.
