I'm so sorry hun, I hope you feel better soon. Loosing a pet is soooooo hard. When my cat died I cried and didn't eat for a week. I still get upset about it.

It has been very hard the last few days, as we grieve for our Jasper. There is so many emotions that we are dealing with, but it is getting better. Thanks for all the comments.

That's good to hear, unfortunately I had the privileged of scraping my mom's dog of 14 years, which I grew up with, off the interstate yesterday because she got down on it and got hit by a car... Was not fun, couldn't tell what end was what... :(

My mom is taking it pretty hard. Especially since the pup of this one, which was 12 years old got down on the same interstate and got hit the day before mothers day...

that really sucks.. Please for other dogs and cats in the area, make sure that wasp nest is destroyed.

I am so so sorry to hear about your loss. You don't have to apologize for loving you pet as much as you do. Things really suck for you right now but in time you will be able to think of him with laughter not tears. RIP

Our plumber did get stung a couple of days later. We had people come in, but they couldn't find the nest. I guess I stirred them up enough that most of them have moved on.

Yes, there is a lot of emotions going on right now. At lot of 'what ifs' and guilt ( what if I didn't stir up the nest, what if we didn't have the fence put in, what if I got to him sooner) along with knowing and seeing the pain that he suffered. We are trying to remember the good too, as every moment was a happy time with him.
