It's a moth caterpillar of some sort, obviously grows its wings after a short period.
I found something similar recently :thumbsup |

And vinegar, I know he has lots of that :1orglaugh See you soon Keith, looking forward to it brother. |
LOL, my god yall are so silly. :)
It's merely a larva (caterpillar) of one of your native species of swallowtail butterflies. The eyespots are used as deterrents against predators, much like those of many moths in the Saturniidae family. The entomology site I contribute taxonomic data to does not cover Central American insects, but I'm going to look around and see if I can nail down a specific genera for you. At any rate, no need to freak out - if you happened to know what it's host plant was you could rear it into adulthood. I'll post again shortly. :) |
I was close :D

This is the thing i come across here in the UK.

i'd hit it!

I can't find a perfect match to that larva, but I know it's some swallowtail (Papilionidae) genera.
On another note, I'm trying to rear 40-50 Automeric cecrops pamina larvae, which look like this: http://www.saturniidae-moths.de/Lepi.../Apaminara.jpg |

Well thanks for all the replies and my dogs are completely fine. I agree after seeing other pics it's just a butterfly/moth larvae. Still, it had one hell of a freaky face and the maid yelled like crazy :1orglaugh
And yes, it tasted delicious! :pimp (j/k...or am I?) |
