Sorry here's the list of accepted domains for the auction.

you'll always have changes in lexicon to add new commodities to the market.

I guess what I'm really wondering.. are short .net domains such as *porn.net but no traffic more desirable to "joe porn domain buyer" than a longer .com with pin point targeting and some type in traffic. To me a short .net with no traffic is pretty much useless unless you own the .com

And yes there are some real good domains listed too.

* where this would be some obscure nonsense term but short

I started messing around with the internet in the early 90's and many did not know including myself where the whole concept was going. I remember checking yahoo stock quotes and Angelina Jolie photos...and also ran into a lot of early porn websites. In fact many successful companies had registered their domain names before they even thought of the generic one word domains that would have automatically made their business a success.

In the late 90's people invested big in domains thinking that it would be easy to make millions on the net, then you had the internet bubble that bursted. Once this happened many people dropped tons of domains, this is when many domainers jumped in and purchased tons of names. We know now that you can make money on the net but not everyone has a success story. You know the examples...Google, yahoo, ebay, amazon, myspace, youtube, etc.

As far as the future goes I think the internet will be around for a while since so much money is invested in it. It is barely 20 years old. As far as all the good domains (online real estate) taken, it would be the same as you trying to buy beach front real estate....it is all taken. If you want it you need to pay the asking price. I do feel that all these other extensions are hurting the internet, it should have stayed .com, .net, and .org only. These were universal, then all the country codes came out...and who the hell ever would type in a .info or .me. :2 cents:

They're not Japanesegirls.com like you mentioned above, but I own (and would sell):

JAPANESEBARHOSTESSES.COM
JAPANESEBATHGIRLS.COM
JAPANESEGOKKUN.COM
JAPANESEHOSTESSES.COM
JAPANESEHOUSEHOLDS.COM
JAPANESESOAPLANDS.COM
JAPANVACATIONSITES.COM

I would still go with a .com even if it is a 3 word domain name. Also with 3 words you have a better chance your keywords term will come up in search engines. Some of my searches are hot japapanese girls....japanese girls might be too general but would give you type in traffic. But the chances of getting type ins drop with a .net or .org....but you still will get some type in traffic. Also if you develope your shorter .net domain chances are you will be sending traffic to the owner of the .com :2 cents:

That Sedo auction looks pretty good, but I have several names entered with the Internext Moniker auction.
