Thunder-Ball is failing hard. It's a cluster fuck of shitt coding and general negligence.

The owner is trying to bail from a sinking ship and at least get some money for it.

Interesting point. The site for me seems to be very scattered and doesn't flow well in many places ... What 'fixes' or features would make thunderball a more productive / reliable site for webmasters ?

I think they should
1. Improve the interface
2. Get rid of, or greatly reduce the HUGE status balloons after each process function
3. Offer a link re-verification tool for premium members so that past trades can be rescanned to make sure they weren't dropped.
4. Fine tune the link requesting process and combine some steps, and work out some of the flow issues
5. Make the Search for more link trades function return you to your last page of search results after each link request instead of all the way back to the beginning of page 1 in the category search results.

More suggestions? What would you change?

I'd re-write it so it didn't try to do every single thing in Ajax. Ever noticed how you can't navigate with the browser back button? If you select a site to trade with and then decide you want to select a different one, you can't go back you have to start over. Also the list of online trades needs options to sort by domain or partner name, it gets impossible to find existing trades with a partner when you have built up a lot of them.

I'd change this:

- Option to delete multiple trade requests at once (so I don't have to manually delete each worthless trade requests which can stack up quickly)
- Better support
- Interface improvement
- Maybe add a "mainstream" section for trades

It's a great system and it would suck to see it go down the drain

I think it was a great hobby system.. and it grew too quickly into a monster, and I just don't think he had the coding skills or time to keep up with it, but couldn't or wouldn't afford a professional coder to get the issues worked out and now just wants to cash out of it all.

Too bad, it still has good potential, but not at 12K... he's fucking dreaming. Someone could probably code one from scratch for half that price or less...

I've been one of the first people to test it out and use it. I think it does what one would want on link exchange. Sure it has its limitations, but it's a great asset to have even if you have to redo it from scratch.
Too bad you guys are bitching about it when it's the only one there is, bad, ugly, limited or whatever you want to call it. Average guy can get his thing done using it as I did.

Rumor is another system/tool with the features missing and many more, is almost ready to go live. Don't really have much sharable information, but you can bet I will keep you posted.

I was a huge fan of this service, and site, but being abandoned and ignored as a paying customer for months has forced most to seek out other options.

Nobody knows, including us paying members. Everyone has been abandoned since Nov/Dec. Either Mr Bond has passed away, or he has flew the coup.

EDIT, Someone is alive there as new paid members are getting approved (at least as recent as End of Jan/Start of Feb)
