It's a pretty simple question. You have a traffic source. You send to sponsor A, B, and C, and it's converting at 1:400-1:800 on average. Sponsor D is converting at 1:8000, 0:8000, etc etc How long until sponsor D is changed? |
sometimes 1: 500.
|
other times let it go to 1: 3000.
|
some sites if it hit 1: 200 it would be pulled.

On a review site? Never.

Ok, but all humour aside.. Seriously, it's not cut and dry.. I'd look the tour over, hover and click and review each link on the tour. Yeah I know, I didnt make the tour and it should work perfectly, but if my traffic seems to hit a black hole on this tour, I'm checking it like it's mine. Like it's gold, like it's platinum. I'm clicking everything, and I mean EVERYTHING. I'm visiting the processor join page, I'm checking source codes, I'm asking my brother to go sign up for a month. Anything I can do to make sure the actual process of surfer joining = me depositing money. If it doesnt, and I've done my due diligence on my own behalf, I'm contacting the sponsor. You very well could help them uncover a problem for all ya know. Or they may break out some overall ratios for you and suggest a new linking strategy, or permit you to make your own tour or something awesome. It's just freakin hard to know from outside. Good luck |

And when contact was tried with them, got very minimal response. It's kind of sad what customer service has come to with some sponsors to be honest. |

Hmm I agree, it can be a speed bump getting some specific kind of help. Personally, in everything, it's all a matter of factoring out luck. Nobody wants luck, we want knowns and unknowns. So the common theme is all under one sponsor. Well, do they use the same processor as the better performing ones? Be good to know for your own info. Maybe they cascade billing different? Probably do, but again be good to know whats up there.
But it's good to go into it armed, so to speak, with some bits of data where you can say look, I've done all this to figure it out, and all I need to know is what <niche> site is your best and I'll try pushing it for another week. Maybe you have less joins, but they retain better. Good to know, so you could go revshare instead of PPS for instance. If you're a profitable affiliate, you want to know that. I've found being on both sides of the deal, that it's a lot easier to get that specific help when you know the affiliate really has looked at a bunch of angles and are trying to be a good partner with you. |
