that was a horrible call by the ref, no excuse, just horrible. Although in the end, I don't know that it had the kind of impact that the France Ireland game had... but both games are good reasons for video replay, imo.

People forget that only a little over two years ago Portugal were considered the best team in Europe, they had difficulties qualifying because they couldn't put the ball in the back of the net but they still played good football.

Slovenia is not weak, they have a similar strenght to Croatia or Serbia, I think the weakest team will be North Korea and New Zealand.

I would say Portugal has not a chance against Ivory Coast...those guys are vsery good and also tough, while Portugal is full with girlish crybabies.

I think France has a group where they don't have a chance with Domenech and should end up 4th. South Africa has to go to the playoffs...well, because FIFA is corrupt, if they weren't, they wouldn't vote for South Africa in the first place. Mexico and Uruguay are good enough to beat France even if they had a better form, which they don't have right now.

Yeah but they only do that so that they can go even harder on the attack when we lose. Papers like The Sun only want two results - either for England to win or for them to really embarrass themselves. Either way they get to go big on coverage and prey on passions to sell papers. Anything in between doesn't help their circulation.

Yes, USA has definitely a realistic chance to go to the playoffs, but it will be hard and the players have to know it. If they underestimate Slovenia, it won't end good.
