I agree..you only have to look at the last 20 new site launches mentioned on gfy and you will see most of them are not using top premium domains but more average to good ones.

I also agree a name might be worth 250k + but to get someone to drop serious cash in this current climate is not so easy.

Funny, I just tried to remember the last 20 new sites/domains, and the ones that popped into my mind all had good names - I must have forgotten the rest, and somehow I don´t think average surfers have better memory :2 cents:

People generally only remember a handful of sites - no matter if its news, sports, communities, or adult sites. Companies/People investing in content, design, programming, marketing, but not in a good domain are leaving money on the table (and a good domain actual retain most of its value or even increases it over time, while the other things going into a site loose their value over time).

When pricing a domain, then it all comes down to what the new owner can do with the domain. Thats why different people see different value in the same domain, because each one of us have a different plan what to do with the domain.

he's still getting good traffic to OB. hell, Hell, his alexa is higher then both of our sites. I dont think he lost his passion for the site, maybe not alot of updates. If he didnt care, im sure his traffic would of dropped big time.
