I've never used my free webspace from my ISP for anything closely resembling porn. And I never will, either.

"m0rph3us, I wonder why you're defending him, could it be because you're a hotlinker yourself? Why don't you show us all what movie sites you run, if you're not ashamed. I wonder where you're hotlinking your sample movies from...s***.ca?"
Dude...lemme explain it like this If i buy a can of whip cream & use it to suck all the nitrous out of it, its against the TOS of ready whip, but i still paid for the fucking whip cream. Same thing, i paid for an aol account, i'll hotlink all the fucking porn i want. Btw, if i ever decided to post a movie i would do it from my own hosting, or use a avs's freehost like a normal person. Not saying i would do the shit myself, just saying who cares if someone else does it. |
Something I've noticed about the hun:
He doesn't care if other people cheat and scam other people, for example: Hun doesn't care if you post a celeb gallery full of video clips taken from major hollywood movies, and he doesn't care if you post a gallery that steals bandwidth from someone else by hotlinking them. HOWEVER The Hun hates it when people cheat and steal and scam him, for example: people who change their gallery adding dialer pop-ups after it has been accepted. So it looks to me that Hun could care less if you're a cheater and steal bandwidth and content, just as long as you're not trying to cheat or steal from him. Personally, I think cheaters are cheaters, and they might not be cheatin ya now, but eventually they will, so why support them by posting their galleries? |
:waaaaahh tgps are killing this business!
:waaaaahh p2ps are killing this business! :waaaaahh someone is hotlinking from comcast! :waaaaahh i cant get listed on al4a! |

And for an object lesson, look at how you're getting fucked over by the credit card companies due to those who dealt dishonestly with their subscribers. When cheaters cheat, it can have a way of boomeranging on us all. |
easy is right :) were a mile away from the german and belgium border and yes germany has VERY strict laws on porn.
You have to either proof the visitor is an adult by some kind of system (even the government supplies these :) or put all kinds of warnings on the site, i looked up a random site : http://ab18frei.xlook.de/ "Das von uns verwendete System der PERSONALAUSWEISNUMMER - ABFRAGE ist für den User besonders einfach und anwenderfreundlich" The system we have uses a passport query and is very easy to use for the end-user Im afraid this guy is in trouble :) |
M0rph3Us or anyone defending the hotlinking cause... You guys are so funny...
You bash others using paid hosting and working hard for their LEGAL and fully legit work... while defending the hotlinking illegal issue... ? C'mon... what about xxxmoviemart, huh ? If it was only about hotlinking isps... No it isn't and you know that ; look at xxxmoviemart or any other movie forums... they belong to the biggest hotlinking sites on this planet... not only free isps but also paid and 100% legit hosting accounts from sponsors, legit webmasters etc etc etc... PROOF ? (just a little example) Since i dunnot exactly the rules about posting links to other forums (even unrelated), look at the pages below when entering the forum. htdocs/dcforum/DCForumID1/74467.html htdocs/dcforum/DCForumID1/74479.html htdocs/dcforum/DCForumID1/74463.html (they were online at the time i pasted them) Even movies from vidsvidsvids (a mate of yours) are being hotlinked - unsucessfully - fortunatelly... So let's not twist the cause here and not divert from the real subject... It's not only about Free Isps, it's about the adult business in its whole entity, not only free isps, but also content providers, hosting companies and also legit webmasters loosing thousands of dollars each day on this. It's not as YOU say or might want to believe how things work in the adult business. Nope. It's how people with YOUR similar attitude see things going and don't want to try the legal way. Although i think the initial post should not have been directed to thehun publicly, since i rather believe that it is an issue of general concern not only thehun's, i don't understand how and why Thehun does allow this type of shit (most cheap scripts only allow linking to content from the same domain so why not the hun's script?). Either someone goes one way or the other, but not both? Still, it's his business, but we should not forget the whole cause for the whole industry. Who isn't going to be pissed off if he worked hard for a hun listing and see maybe galleries ahead of him, a gallery not paying for the bandwidth at all? Talk about being fair. There's a growing base of webmasters who stop the hotlinking of movies on free isps, and realize that in the long run, they'll make better and stronger business (also reputation-wise). They are ready to try something new without depending on surfers used of huge freebies like you find them on most 1mb+ movieposts... They'll learn not to bow to those insane requirements posed by them and they most likely will do whatever needed for stoping that kind of madness you can only find in this unmonitored, unregulated and out of control industry. It's good that someone finally had the guts to make it public on GFY. I personally lost my energy and hope into that kind of discussions ; though i provide help for those needing it, since hotlinking (specifically by those movie forums) almost cost me once a fortune. A lot of webmasters not knowing how to protect themselves are being ripped off. A lot of content providers do not realize how much money they loose by content theft, a lot of adult hosting companies loose their business at those free isps. So don't say it's the way the adult industry works. You're definatelly wrong. More and more webmasters are joining the LEGAL way, let's figure which of those hotlinking veterans will be the last jumping off board... Michael PS: There's a huge difference between using its own ISPs webspace and ripping off ISPs in exchange of Movie Archive Passes... If one can't tell the difference, then :321GFY Little analogy to think about : We've got cars with alarm protection and cars without alarm protection... As a "honest" citizen, do you steal the cars without alarm installation just because they are not protected ? No... Though, that's what the whole hotlinking issue is about in the adult industry. |
By the way, i've been asked by someone if i wrote the initial post.
My opinion about hotlinking is more than clear enough to those who know me already for some time, so i don't need to hide behind some other nick. :) Also, i prefer to invest my time into more productive things rather than doing some full time job pursuing cheaters worldwide, lol My only contribution against hotlinking is my sig. That's all. Michael |
Hotlinkers are no better then a thief stealing your car radio or whatever.
If I ever get my hands on a hotlinker he'll feel real sorry. |
the hotlinking is bad but i don't feel as bad for those big ISP's who are thieves themselves, as I do for the content guys and girls who bust their ass and take risks producing content who get ripped off by the hundreds of sites like XXXMovieMart and the people who 'protect' their archives of stolen content - Adult Bouncer numero uno, StreamLoad, and DeluxePass. These are the worst offenders.
it won't go on for much longer i'm told but i'll believe that when i see it. Hard to sell content in a market where thieves are just ripping DVD's and encoding straight from a satellite. |
