Funny to see some people spamming their sigs, when nobody actually clicks on them...

At least a few times a week. I have found new companies to promote, designers, scripts, and lots of other informations. Sometimes the links lead to other opportunities. There is a wealth of information coming into GFY, you just have to wade through a lot of posts to find the little gems. I just found a new solo girl (ccbill) to promote this morning first thing when I checked the forum. Clicked her sig and signed up.

I am sincerely curious as to why disabling sigs was a relief. I an not saying you are wrong I just don't understand what it is a relief from.

I have always considered sig files to kind of make up part of the mosaic of GFY just like the avatars (although I wish I could not see some of those :)) The only time they bother me is when they take a long time to load

few times a week, use bitly and you will know how many times your sig links get clicked :thumbsup

we have our own system so those numbers I do have.
More interesting though to look at the stats from the people we bought digs from.
The ones that post the most got clicked less than one third then others.....

There were other factors though

i was just thinking about this the other day when the new sig/spam rules went into effect...i wondered how many people actually click on sigs...i do all the time to see what people are promoting

It's also good for branding, even if someone doesn't click on it, they still see it and that's in their head.

probably depends on the poster, if it's someone I see posting educated shit or trying to help someone I'll check their shit out, if it's someone that only posts see sig, no money in porn, or random shit that doesn't help anyone I'll never click anything, quality over quantity on forum posts as well as traffic.

When I first got her I used them to signup to all of my sponsors. Some of you are enjoying my referral money ;)

depends if it is relevant to something i am working on, or have an interest in. but yes, generally i click quite a few sigs...

Pretty often, if the sig is something I haven't seen before or someone flying it posted something interesting.

If I see something interesting, I do. Hence choosing NEVER in the poll. :thumbsup

Honestly a LOT more than i thought.

Ive made 35k a year just from referal sales from my sig on different boards.

If it looks interesting/useful then yes I do click sigs.

If the post has just been see sig though I don't even look at it.

Never click through, but it works for branding purposes.

I click on nearly every new sig that i see you never know what little gems they are hiding lol

If I'm interested in working with then and they don't have contact info in their profile, I check the sig to see if they are a representative of the company they are pitching and try to contact them that way.

I don't use it to sign-up for a program though. We usually like to build a relationship first with a company and explore all ways we can work together before promoting them on our sites
