I think Italy has the best shot.. France, Brazil, Germany, they haven't been on top of their game lately. England, no way.. proof will be when we beat them on opening day!
USA! USA! (I'm wearing the new away jersey as we speak.. same style worn in the 50's when we beat England the last time around.) |

Can't wait for the Cup to start :winkwink: |
I'd like to see England do well,
"A beautiful cross by Davie Beckham....to Rooney...SCORES! GOOOOAAAAAAALLLLLLLL!! GOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL LLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Ha. But anyway, I like all the teams, will watch as many of the games as possible, because I love it all, all of it, the competition, the British commentators, the behind the scenes drama, all of it. Brazil, Italy, France, Germany, Argentina, all of them always strong favorites. But I have a distinct feeling we're going to see one or two long-shot teams make it farther into the tournament than anyone ever thought possible. I have a couple in mind but won't say who they are at present for fear of being laughed at. :D |
a gay game :)
|
Spain if Torres stays healthy, England as well with Rooney. Ivory Coast will surprise quite a few teams and NEVER count out Italy, they play a boring style but always affective.
|
Brazil, Spain or England.

England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, goal for England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, goal for England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England, England,

Spain or Brazil are the ones that have the greater chance to win, I don't think Argentina would win, the team Maradona set up is not the best. And Messi have been playing really bad on the team, looks like he is scared to be injured and ruin he's career on Barcelona...

Portugal, Netherlands are strong teams with no mention here.
I like Serbia for a big upset |

I know they do have a great team. This is most definitely their best chance. Same situation for England. A long way from their crappy newspapers, a great coach (who happens to be foreign - a very good thing), nearly all fit, amazing depth... Can't wait. |

Germany baby. They have the most heart and it has been predestined :)

France - no chance
Italy - no chance Germany - maybe Spain - almost for sure Holland - almost for sure |
i predict that England will struggle in the group stages, proberbly lose the first game, draw in the second and win the third by sheer luck. they will then go on to win the next stage game easily then get knocked out in the next game on penalties. You can pretty much guarentee it. It happens to us in every major tournament.
|
Pretty sure one of these teams will make it to the final
Brazil Argentina Spain |
Messi is great but why do they have Maradonna as a coach?

Argentina- great talent but won't go far because they have no coach
England- always seem to find a way to lose rather than a way to win Italy- never to be counted out, so tough in big tournaments, but no team has repeated since 58-62 Spain- if Xavi and Torres can't get healthy Spain is in trouble Netherlands- see England so.... I am going with Brazil and Germany with a win by zeee GERMANS. |
cwd: exactly how I see it

Argentina has great individual players but no chemistry or teamwork, they barely qualified for the WC and Maradona is not a coach.
|
only 7 different countries have won in the 18 tournaments held.
In the finals of those 18 tournaments; Brazil has appeared 7 times Germany 7 times Italy 6 Argentina 4 France 2 Uruguay 2 Netherlands 2 Czech 2 Hungary 2 Sweden 1 and England 1. Crazy numbers when you consider there have been over 70 countries to compete in the tournaments history. |
this is our year.....
hopefully. |
On paper holland should win but they fcuk things up near the end
|
Uruguay will do it ;) if we get to pass the first round :P
