I don't know, never promoted them, but if they did and they are still keeping the sites open and processing rebills they need to continue paying out. If they don't then I think we should collect the names of the owners and make sure they are recorded as cheats for the next time they open a program. It isn't acceptable to keep your affiliates' rebills on revshare especially with just a few days notice.

Hopefully they weren't a revshare program.

what did well for me with WEG - got people to register, was the "tube" look of their sites, like rawtube4free.com etc.

This may be a good opportunity for you guys to step up the email prog a bit, as I'm sure there will be plenty of guys like me looking for the best possible replacement

What I'd like to see are some more "current" pages to send traffic to- tube type layouts, etc

Interesting. Oh well, they had a good run. This is just a sign of the times. They still have millions of double opt in email addresses and god knows how many recurring members. They'll still be making plenty bank.

Can anyone from WEG clarify if webmaster accounts will stop taking transactions as of Friday or if new traffic will be declined. I ask because a lot of these email and 4free programs can take days if not weeks to confirm. Will those confirms be lost?. Makes quite a difference if links should be pulled asap.

This is pretty big, WEG has been around forever, though admittedly its been years since I worked with them.

It seems to me if it stops being profitable you need to change your payouts. It's always easier to raise payouts than drop them, but at least with lowered payouts you're not killing your business off.

I know they are running a few new paysites not listed on their site.

Glad I refused to jump through their hoops to signup again and promote them a few months back.

I emailed and Gabe confirmed that they are no longer "accepting" affiliate traffic. Sad as they paid well (at least back in the day).

That said: Who pays on free trials or has email programs that convert?

yes I definitely noticed that.

All of a sudden, out of nowhere, ratios went to crap. I figured they were tightening the purse strings a bit, but I was still making money.. so what can you do.

Sucks they had to shut the whole thing down- i would have probably still used them if they went to $1.50 an email or something

that being said, anyone who has some good looking tours for pay per email progs should be hopping on this one!

yeah man exact same thing here so I pulled most of my traffic.

It was just insane and happened literally over a few days around July 4 last year. Who knows what happened, its entirely plausible that more and more people started learning about the tube sites. Oh wells it was good while it lasted. I am sure there is a space in the market for a similar program with better landing pages.

I used to actively promote the CEMag "tube" program for a while and that was also my issue. The tube landing pages were just too generic looking, as opposed to the WEG tube landing pages that made it look like you had the option of watching the individual videos as well as entire DVD's. If CECash would update their landing pages to look more like the WEG tube landing pages I would absolutely start sending them traffic again...
