This business is a joke.

it was a small turnout, alot of people i was looking for were sitting on ICQ back at their offices. but, there were the usual faces, plus new faces as there are new cash programs looking to come in with their own twist on things.

The show was good for t3report, lots of people were looking for affiliates and with cutbacks in marketing spending, t3report.com has become of increased interest.

all in all, it was a good show, hats off to xbiz. hats off to the sponsors to help bring it all together.

This Vegas thing ended years ago, it just forgot to fall over and die. The last show I was at was in 2001, when it was a show. Now it's complete and utter crap. But there are people on this board that will say unbelievable shit "LIKE GOOD TIMES" sorry morons those good times are long over in this business.

Because you can see the results posted on this board and others, the proof is in the pictures and what other people are saying. Just a thought why not one major show a year, now the 4 or 5 now or whatever.... Just one show a year and make it mean something! Meeting people in the industry that you can do business with, really the same ones that show up to each of these events.... And we all see the pics of everyone shit faced... There are so many companies that rely on these shows Xbiz, and AVN being the tops but many others also. Neither are going to bow out and let the other one have "THE show" for the good of the industry cause the industry good is not their good. Just like the players ball guys would not decide to forgo doing the players ball cause all they could find was scum bag thieves as the sponsor.


I can at least take solace in the fact that people are making the choice to attend less shows and picking the TPF as the "ONE" they go to.

and the fact that baddog rides a cycle from LA to AZ (last show) and I take it on the cycle again to Vegas this time.

I am over 55 and I rode my bike to Vegas in 120 degree heat. Probably not my brightest move, but we had a great time . . . and the ride home was significantly cooler (30-60 degrees cooler than Monday).

Things get way tougher at 50 than 40 altho some guys got what it takes and rock on esp if they did it all their life.

I mean riding a bike state to state aint that tough.. but I just want to say it's fucking cool. Whether you are 35 or 55. Cool lifestyle.

i've ridden through death valley @ ~117 when i was in my 30s. it took several hours and thought i was going to die.

it's like riding in a blast furnace and faster does not help, makes it worse, if i remember correctly but that entire leg of the journey is a foggy memory.

The windshield helps a ton. I used to do that shit sans windshield and it was like a blast furnace for sure. This was not too bad which is probably why it kicked my ass. I did not realize how dehydrated I was getting.

We took 45 minutes longer to get home. Even though it was a lot cooler we stopped a lot more frequently and hydrated.

I think I brought two 12 oz bottles. We stopped in Barstow for gas and water, then watered up about half way between there and Vegas. Not enough water.

I did not even know I was dehydrated until after I arrived and tried to exert myself a little. Immediately felt like someone put my head in a vise. The deflectors have vents I can open and close. I think they are probably of more use in the cold.

I dunno, I see his point though. You're not the right gender and you're not between the ages of 18 and 18.5 but you're still a ..

In the days b4 cellphones, and I know you drove it then too, :) it really was trusting in your bike or riding with someone.

I have a friend who rides around up here when it's -10 or colder with one blanket in the trunk. As any northerner will tell you that's crazy. :) People have and do freeze to death in their cars. Altho with cell phones much less.

Altho, how many cell phones have full desert coverage either. :)

I would feel more mechanicly sound on a bike than in a car tho.

Well, I carry two cells [two different carriers] so I am pretty well covered on I-15 between LA and Vegas. On top of that had goodgirl's Droid and two laptops with wireless cards.
