******* hit me up bro!

When I juice, my favorite is:

1 clove of garlic
1 nub of ginger (about 1")
1 orange
2 carrots
3 apples like Fuji or MacIntosh

It's a bit different, sweet but tangy, and definitely good for the heart

Im gonna try that. Thanx for sharing.

I just finished a gallon for carrot, beats, apples, oranges and some spinach. Was very good. The apple and orange made the whole concoction taste really good. The whole drink was dark purple. This combination was nothing special, just threw it together on the fly, beat stems and all. Knowing no matter how bad it tastes, i can always add more apples, oranges or pineapple to it, to make it taste better.

Its been about a week and I am very satisfied with my Juicer. I started juicing what i want to drink in the morning and it lasts for almost 2 full days. I do about one gallon at a time. My girl juices what she likes for the day, daily. Has been very easy and clean up has not been an issue.

I have dropped 2-3 pounds with out trying. I feel better and my appetite seems suppressed. I have coffee in the morning then juice 2 hours later.(love coffee!!) and drink juice throughout the day. Or i have juice in the morning then coffee in the afternoon, the juice during the day and before i even get hungry. Then i have a small sensible healthy dinner with lots of vegetables.

Im not necessarily trying to diet or loose weight, i just wanted to add a minimum of 2 large glasses of vegetable juice to my diet everyday. I was curious to see how i was going to feel and what was going to happened. I have heard nothing but good things about people who juice their vegetables. Im just letting everything around me fall where ever it may fall. I feel great and that was kind of the goal, but I guess if i loose weight thats a plus too.:2 cents:

So how many of each did it take to get a gallon?

I was all excited about this juicer I got a few years ago. I went to the grocery store and loaded up on all kinds of veggies so I could make my own V-8.

Well it didn't turn out quite how I expected, at all. All my tomatoes, celery, radishes, celery, etc went in to the juicer and what came out was this bile! It looked like grey snot.

It was far more economical for me to just buy V-8 instead of trying to make my own. That is not to say that a juicer is useless. Far from it. I've made a number of successful concoctions with it.

The thrill of it wore off in about a week or two. They are such a pain in the ass to clean. Mine is in a cabinet somewhere and has been since. I need to break it out again one of these days.

The is absolutely no comparison of the nutritional content of a V8 and that of juice that was extracted with an auger type juicer. Buy organic veggies from smaller farmers. I go to various farmers markets. I get black kale, scots kale, russian kale, red beats, cilantro, parsley, mint, carrots, spinach, etc. Like I said, get a Greenstar juicer. You don't need the expensive one I have, the Greenstar is like $400-$500 and does an amazing job. The quality of juice it puts out blows away the infomercial junk.

Food combining is also important. Lots of people like to mix fruit juice with their veggie juice. This is a no no.

Doesn't that bitch know what a money shot is? I want to see the juice being expelled.

Jack's product leaves a TON of juice behind. I have one.. just to get enough OJ for a screw driver you need like 9 to 12 small oranges or 7 to 8 large ones. WTF? Almost an entire fucking bag for one glass of OJ?

pradaboy 06-26-2010 04:30 AM

******* I would appreciate if you contact me, I have some questions about raw food diets. Just got out of the hospital from a serious stomach/colon issue and I want to change my ways.

thnx in advance!

The trick is mixing all of the vegetables that you are not taking in everyday or have the time to graze on such as celery, carrots and spinach, beats, broccoli, cucumbers, lettuce, etc. with apples, oranges grapes, pineapples etc. Pretty much mix greens with anything sweet or citrusy. When juiced in the right doses it all goes down really easy and actually tastes really good.

Had juice for breakfast and made enough for dinner. I stored it in a bottle that i was able to take the air out. So i make enough for now and later and only clean one mess.

Its pretty cool and very filling. Not necessarily trying to diet, but am starting to take my health a little bit more seriously and thought that juicing would give me those extra vitamins, minerals, etc, that im usually not getting. Also, i am looking to get a boost in the morning without coffee, energy drinks, energy shots or caffeine supplements.

I know this is a board full of webmasters, but im curious how many swear by juicing or have tried it. Please share your experiences.

i bought mine like 3 months ago and since then i drink juice daily 2 times per day..
morning citrus juice and afternoon apple+orange.. sometimes i mix some other stuff but those are the more traditional...
also one thing i do which i read is good is to take your juice 1 hour apart from any meal/food...

so far im very happy with the results.. i play soccer 4 times per week and we are in winter here..
so far im 100% without any drugs and i feel awesome :)

i really recommend anyone to do it in a daily basis..
i also had some intestine issues which are gone now...

Good post, especially the never mix fruit-juice with veggies. Here is the problem I find with organic veggies is you never truly know if they're organic as you pay more. Meaning, a lot of these smaller farmers buy what they think is pesticide/chemical free fertilizer just later to find out they are not or they are farming vegetables on leased farmland that was previously non-organic and these chemical remain in the soil for decades.

Better and easier to just grow your own. I just moved off a huge 10 acre ranch - we had organic grapes, Avacados, Tomatoes, Corn, Swiss Chard, Carrots, Bell Pepers, Beans, pumpkins, watermellons and 20 different mature fruit trees. Don't sweat the "Chemically fertilized Leased land" thing - the pesticides on the raw food, this year's fertilizer, and processing & the supermarket marketing techniques are most of your worries. At least organic farmers TRY to get the food as clean and natural as posible. Check out the trade markets, organic farms, & some health food markets in your area although the later may be way too pricey. I can't eat most veggies unless I grow them - that's why I need to put that stuff in a juicer and shoot it like Tequilla.

because some vegetables affect whats good from the fruit.. say minerals, vitamins whatever..

i heard orange juice mixed with carrots is bad for the stomach or something..
anyways you can never be sure of what you read around :)

Fruit and veggies need different digestive enzymes. You can mix them and it won't hurt you but to get the maximum nutritional benefit you should generally eat them at separate times. Some people might think being this restrictive in your diet is too much but for people like me who need the extra nutrition to thrive it is well worth it.
