How to import post into a single category in wordpress? Plugin? - GoFuckYourself.com

Hello, I am currently trying to start a new blog and would like to import post through an csv or .xml file. However, for example if i want to import an xml file from dogfart.com or vidz, the post will be imported into the default category. This is not optimal because this blog has dozens of categories and thousands (4000+) of post, making going back to edit the post annoying. I read wordpress and search google but all i get is out dated post. Is there a plugin/hack/code that allows you to control what cats the imported post go in?

bump also. I spent hours last week editing the csv export, wish there was a quicker way..

you can select the category with some of the csv importers
