I have only around $600 in VV. Sue them as hard as you can guys. Don't let Mallick run with our money easily.

Djenkas 09-24-2010 06:01 AM

Shap, I called the bank and from their tone they seemed to be a little "scared" when I mentioned lawyer. The operator immediately told me that I don't need to contact one as this will be "solved".

I am definitely gonna fight hard for this! I have some contacts for lawyers in St Kitts, we might wanna contact them as well.

Phooq 09-24-2010 06:22 AM

Just found this on another board.. don't shoot the messenger :D

Quote:

Ok i called the bank , they said the technicians are working on restoring the system so we can access our funds . It should be before or on the 30th of Sept that we can access them. They said keep checking the website https://www.sknanb.com
They will post information on what is gonna be needed and how to access the funds, what IDs, etc.
So it looks like by the 30th we will be able to access the funds through St. Kitts.

Ron2k1 09-24-2010 06:23 AM

In another thread I read St Kitts bank want to reactivate visa cards by september 30th

But I hardly believe that of course

gumdrop 09-24-2010 06:25 AM

People have been calling St. Kitts and their standard answer is that they will make a statement on the situation Sept. 30th.

Ross 09-24-2010 06:25 AM

I have about $5800 spread across 3 accounts
$4300 in main
$3-500 in another
$around $1000 in the last one

I'm in Shap!

Jesus you're a fucking idiot!

Ok I called the bank. I tried to talk to the controller but she passed me off to whoever is handling all epass. They said we are trying to resolve check the website. I asked if the money was safe she said yes. I asked if everyone would get their money back and she said sorry I can't say that.

Not good. I haven't had a chance to touch base with my lawyer yet. I'll keep you guys posted.

LatinCams 09-24-2010 07:06 AM

Hey Shap count me in, I have about 15 K there :(

Btw I should add that is a typical carribean reply. Very non committal. So while I don't think it is a good reply it's better than if an american had said that lol.

that would be a big ouch in the ass, folks

I wonder if we'll see any action from the banks behalf. It's a little refreshing to see some positive news but we've been fed similar by ePassporte for a few weeks now. Though they never set a deadline I must admit. There's still the worry of people (myself included) who have large amounts stuck in their wallets.

I've always wondered over the past couple of weeks which was safer, the VV money or the wallet money. Obviously some got their wallet money, but a lot are yet to.

I am waiting on a wire that totals close to 100K. Been sent once, failed. Retrying now.

Quence 09-24-2010 07:20 AM

obviously the Bank doesn't like all that negative attention - that's why the got their asses moving to at least hold some kind of management meeting.

i think we should continue pressing them - maybe through higher-up financial institutions of that region.

3xTom 09-24-2010 07:25 AM

Can you imagine having a multi million dollar business one day,
and the next day POOF its all gone....

Sad really on both sides of the coin.

Shap count us in to help the cause.

tranza 09-24-2010 07:28 AM

Count me in.

I have roughly $10k stuck with Epass.

My business partner has $6k.

run 09-24-2010 07:32 AM

I have (had) $3.7k on VV, and I would like to see the official statement from the bank.

What info do you need and where do I send it?

yes Tom, but can you imagine having invested 20mil into something that you managed to make not even a mil? That's POOF.

Even I was refusing to believe that this is related to Oxymoronnet, but now pieces are coming together and I am afraid ePass was collateral for loans Mallick and co. got from the bank(s).

Shap 09-24-2010 07:36 AM

Seeing that it's Friday i'm pretty sure we won't get any further details today. I've sent all the information to my lawyer.

If any of you get anything else let me/us know. Anybody who wants to contact me mrshap at twistys dot com. I can't promise a reply. My inbox is flooded and I'm flying out to a family get together for the weekend.

Forest 09-24-2010 07:38 AM

i have 15k. Im already in contact with my lawyer here in the states and he is getting me a referal in St Kitts

shap it may be better off to have one attorney handling it so keep us posted

Shap 09-24-2010 07:39 AM

3xTom 09-24-2010 07:41 AM

Sent an email to the bank last night requesting some info

they responded this morning with a photo of the bank president.

In reality I got a canned response pretty much word for word what everyone else is saying..

I have all 3 of mine. I just don't have definitive balances. I know the ballpark numbers per account tho.

i dont know the complete number but i have mine on my most recent statement.

it has ***** in the middle of the numbers so the bank should still be able to track it

lol_cat 09-24-2010 07:45 AM

Your VV number should be in a message in your inbox? AFAIK it's not possible to delete these messages.

shap. great thread.

my guess being in banking for 10+ years is that visa got sick of the games and PCI compliance issues of the bank and shut the bank off. the bank shut off epass and then everything went downhill from there.

No, the bank (St. Kitts) told VISA to shut off Epass. Your argument is invalid :2 cents:

halfpint 09-24-2010 07:51 AM

I have also spoken to them via a phone call and this is what I have been told

They are working on getting the funds back to people by the 30th of October

They wouldent tell me why it was suspended

I asked how we would be getting our money back to which she replied

Some people will be able to use thier cards again and some will get their money by other means.

She also said that we willl be kept informed of the situation via thier website

BTW if anybody wants the national dialling code from the Uk to phone St Kitts Bank it is 001 869 465 2204

Phoenix66 09-24-2010 07:53 AM

Now suddenly money on VV are safe and wallets are fucked. Just awesome. With my recent luck I did not expect anything else...

Check your epassporte inbox. They send you a welcome email containing your VV number/expiry date/secure code when you open your account. It is padlocked so cant be deleted.

maccsta 09-24-2010 07:57 AM

I had $6k on my VV so I'm in for what it's worth.
