no,.... no wild diets or crazed workouts.... just stopped eating junk 24/7 (webmaster food) and switched to eating 5 - 6 small "meals" a day consisting of whatever i want..... most of which consists of fruit, oats, chicken, fish, etc.... the good stuff... and one or two small ones consisting of snacky stuff.... salsa, tortillas, beef, pasta, etc... and lots and lots of water.

dump the soda, the sugar, and useless crap like buttered popcorn, candy, desserts, sweets, pizzas, fast food, etc....

i literally just stopped being overweight.
as i like to say about many things, don't think you can.... know you can. and don't get hung up on checking the scale every day, i think i checked the scale about 3 times. (last one was yesterday).

at 185 and 5'11" tall, i'm right where i should be. now if i can just stabilize and not lose any more...... that will be the real accomplishment. Control. But the lesson here i guess is that anyone can lose weight if they want, and you don;t have to spend a wad of money ordering new diets or magic pills.... everything you need is at the grocery store.

it's pretty wild.... all of my clothes have become useless. nothing fits now.... size 36 - 38 jeans are now shelved. even the 34's are too big and i was hoping to keep those, but I'm gonna need to get some 32's again. haven't seen those in 10 years.

thanks everyone for the props.... it was one of the easiest things i've ever done. :)

Excellent job, I'm on your trail - 28 lbs in 6 weeks thus far.

One thing regarding the many small meals throughout the day, most people believe it boosts your metabolism and/or prevents your body from going into starvation mode. Both are actually unproven/false claims.

The many small meals, has never been proven to boost metabolism and is actually far off from the eating habits of our ancestors.

The starvation mode, only kicks in after 24-48 hours (scientifically proven), so eating often to prevent it really has no bearing on the fact if you do plan to eat daily.

Exactly, had to get me new jeans, looking like a hip hop champ in the old ones.

Also have the same experience - whenever I put my eating regime and body to work I just feel very uneasy about eating anything junk like, almost like a physical aversion.

I lost 18 lbs since march when a guy here posted his weight loss in pics, that inspired me to get away from the pc and into the gym, so far so good! cheers dude, whoever you are..

I'm at nearly 185 now myself after starting out at 130 in this biz 11 years ago. I think my goal will be 200.

docputer 10-21-2010 11:07 AM

Congratulations on the weight loss.

I am trying to do something similar.
I weigh in once a month. started a couple months ago. lost 12 lbs last weigh in. No real plan, I just am making sure I eat something when I wake up. Yogurt or something. Then small meals or snacks. Drinking mostly water or tea.

just difficult to apply sometimes.

Amputate Your Head 10-22-2010 06:56 AM

now i'm starting to think i may have an actual problem.

i'm eating large amounts of food, (pasta and stuff that should pack on poundage), but still losing weight. down three more pounds this morning and no end in sight.. if i dip into the 170's it might be doctor time.

blonda80 10-22-2010 08:12 AM
