Probably "the ring" for me.
Although there's probably some sick other movie's I've watched and that I've already forgotten. There's this Japanese movie where the guy gets his feet sawed off at the end. That was pretty freaky, but also very boring for the most part. |
The Exorcist and The Changeling ...
|
I love scary movies, but very few actually do scare me.
But these are probably in my top 3. The first Descent is really good.. (second was nothing worth watching) 30 days of night, really good (the sequel was bad) Íls is totally different to both above, but got me feeling scared. Check them out: The descent: The Descent 30 days:30 days of night ILS:Ils |
Set your DVRs for Dead Set, the zombie mini-series on IFC this week(5 nights in a row). They showed part 1 last night, but it's being repeated at various times this week.
The first episode was great. |

"Magic" - an old, fairly unknown flick with Anthony Hopkins...thanks to seeing that movie as a kid, I still can't stand to be left alone with a dummy to this day...
"The Eye" - the original version, not the shitty remake...I don't normally fall for jump scares, but this had one that caught me by surprise. as mentioned before "Audition". It's best to read as little about it as possible before seeing it...it's more fun to watch it unfold without anything to spoil the ride |

Another one like this is Lake Mungo. It's a small Australian fake documentary about a dead girl. Some great natural acting and creepy tone that gets under your skin -- but its another one that needs your undivided attention to pay off, and don't read reviews or it'll be spoiled. It almost feels real, its so well done. on Netflix Instant watch: http://www.netflix.com/WiMovie/Lake-...0&trkid=438381 |

One of the scariest videos I have ever seen was a music video by Yeah Yeah Yeahs music band called Heads will Roll. I think Karen O is still alive. Here is one of the frames from that music video:
