If you study the screen at about 8 o'clock you see a mass object orbiting the sun. If you study the pic you can see it. Lot's of buzz about this on teh internets.

Hope not :(

really that looks like an ongoing eruption point from the sun's surface, not an object orbiting the sun, which i'm not saying is impossible but according to everything we currently know it would be freaking impossible.

Video from NASA:
http://sdo.gsfc.nasa.gov/assets/img/...t_rotation.mp4

As said, the object is the black static object to the left of the sun.

Maybe alien technology could withstand the heat orbiting that close to the sun.

that or it's an object born of the sun from which it was ejected.

i say this because obviously its not an asteroid or anything like that so it's either of the sun or its a spacecraft or its an optical illusion caused by something.

its possible that object is far further from the sun than is suggested from the video, but still anything we know to be solid would be toast.

is this what the big announcement will be today? damn....

Yea I agree with your theories, I'm not sure, I really wonder if it is what they will announce..

If it was a spacecraft it would be three times the size of Jupiter.

I also read this:

"The only known elemental compound that could withstand the heat, with regard to the proximity is Tantalum hafnium carbide (Ta4HfC5). With a melting point of 4488 K or 7619 °F. ... a diamond is the only known that has a higher melting point."

3 times the size of jupiter...incredible.

did not know that about diamonds, this is really getting interesting.

20 minutes until the news from nasa..

Stacks Banned for Life 11-15-2010 10:57 AM

Evidence for the youngest known black hole in our cosmic neighborhood has been found using NASA's Chandra X-ray Observatory and other telescopes. The age and proximity of this object could provide astronomers with a unique opportunity to watch a black hole develop during its infancy.

well, that's the news from nasa.
