That's one loyal member. If only there were more of them. :)

If he's keeping current with the site(s) and actually viewing the content, he's probably updating his CC info as well. Dunno how that works on the technical side of it but seems plausible.

reading comprehension skills as usual here are abysmal, but just proves that people read what they want to read, not what is actually there.

CaptainWolfy 11-22-2010 08:43 AM

you better give that men some months for free...

So is the longest members the same guy you are talking about on this thread or another one?

chances are it has nothing to do with retaining and more to do with the person not checking their statements.

you really think it was loyalty ? you guys have no idea how rebilling really works. More often than not most people who rebill don't know they are being charged for it.

Hell, years back I had someone open a credit card in my name and I didn't notice it till a couple years later when I went to buy a house on my credit report as an account in collections. Someone opened the CC signed up to some sites and that shit rebilled every month. I didn't even know about the card much less that something was recurring on it. Then you have people who do signup, don't realize it autobills and for whatever reason just send in the min payment each month and don't look over their statements.

Agent 488 11-22-2010 10:13 AM

will can you read? the dude has been paying by check idiot.

Where did Steve say he was talking about his longest recurring member with the original post in this thread?

Does ccbill still show check joins and cc joins in different stats?

james_clickmemedia 11-22-2010 10:33 AM

that's impressive as he would have to have updated his CC exp. date.

nikki99 11-22-2010 10:33 AM

yeah i can read you retarded fucking troll. Steve hadn't mentioned that yet when I replied. He mentioned that further down in the thread.

And my comments to seeandsee had nothing to do about steve but what another poster here was saying about some of the members he had rebilling.

Maybe you should work on your reading comprehension dumb fuck. Can you follow a simple conversation?? You spend so much time here you think you could understand and learn how to follow the conversation a little better.

Let me break it down for the short bus people, can you follow A-B-C ???

Now what did that have to do with Steve's case or the fact Steve's guy is paying with checks. Dumb ass fucking troll.

some dude has been sending in cheques once a month for 8.3 years?? I think that must be a world record for loyalty!

LM content is damn hot and worth tracking out IPs for.

In other news, Davenport Lyons is up in court in March charged with "knowingly targeting the innocent"

Quote:

In a submission to the Tribunal, the SRA says: "Each of the respondents knew that in conducting generic campaigns against those identified as IP holders whose IP numeric had been used for downloading or uploading of material that they might in such generic campaigns be targeting people innocent of any copyright breach."

"An IP address does not however necessarily lead to a conclusion that the ISP account holder has infringed copyright or authorised another person to infringe copyright. There were other factual possibilities known to [Gore and Miller] such as unauthorised access or a change in IP address after a 24-hour gap following modem switch off follow or other such occurence."
...
Gore and Miller also disregarded the harm the campaign of legal threats might do to Davenport Lyons' reputation, regulators claim, in breach of the Solicitors Code of Conduct.

Davenport Lyons declined to comment, citing the ongoing investigation.
The Brits have been there, done that. It will take time before the penny drops across the channel.

I'm not saying steve is lieing or it is bs, i am sure it is possible, 1:100,000 type thing. But it was pretty interesting how he left out the person was using a check, until after people started questioning that a cc would have expired over that long a period of time.

It does leave one to scratch their head, why is a guy paying $30 a month to keep looking at the same porn over and over for years. Wouldn't he just downloaded it and canceled, or got tired of it now.

Groobybucks actually hold the CCBill record for rebills, we hit their 99 rebill barrier (and broke the software) nearly two years ago and they had to rewrite the software, the following month we had 2 more 99 rebillers and have had a few more since, this is for http://www.shemaleyum.com
Last month we've just had a CCBill check payer, hit 99 also.
Here's the article in AVN at the time:
http://business.avn.com/articles/Tra...mit-52256.html

Ron from CCBill send me a brand new Mercedes which was cool of him and for the 99 checks, he's promised something even better.

If a credit card expires and a new one is issued with the same number, it can be rebilled.

We are still billing a credit card via CCBill from someone who signed up on May 7, 2000 (126 rebills). He still logs into the site a couple times a week.
