This is a very good guide, getting reviews is an important factor if you want people to trust you. In this industry its hard to trust people unless you know them, and good reviews helps people decide. Everything is getting reviewed nowadays, why not? Its a good way of recommendation.

Nice reading there! Some of the guys said something that there's no need of review because of magic join links - I'm not sure what is that, since I'm kinda new - and trying to make a break, a lot of things are unclear to me - BUT - even if the reviews are not necessary it tickles pleasant from the inside when someone is saying something good for your creations. Especially when at the end I see my site in your list reviews on top of some of the biggies in biz :-P

Also as for scoring, I've done away with including anything in the score, and just go by feel now. Nearly 10 years doing this, I sort of just have a sense of where things belong. Rather than trying to get a perfect system that adds this and that by weights etc, I just have an estimated score (based on my past experiences with a site, and what other review sites I respect have had to say on the matter) and a full overall score. Adult Site Surfer is a lot about ranking, which turns into a bit of a mess over time, as reviews get outdated etc. This new site is less about your score, and more about the facts and my point form thoughts as I browse through the members area.

I never was big on review sites till they started reviewing me and it quality traffic and a lot of it. Members join just if you don't get a 98 like the big sites for small sites like mine it hurts your ego a little
