Sagi In Egypt. Quits Job At AFF For Political Support in Home Country.

My Icq has been going crazy with people asking about Sagi and why he left AFF. AFF is quiet on the matter and thus far Sagi has given no news, reasons, or posts on the matter as all has been quiet and private. As a result there have been damaging Rumors about what has happened. Everything from he was fired to he quit.. Rather than having to answer to each of you on icq maybe this is the better forum for this.

The fact of the matter is he is Egyptian. Most of us knew this. He's been very passionate about the Politics in his home land. Many of which are Mubarik Backers and have lost support from the mobs of crowds.

Mubarik Supporters are starting to make a move now over there. Organizing and gaining strength. As a strong supporter of his Country he felt it necessary to go back to Egypt and support his Country and his government.

AFF did not support this behavior for political issues are not something they wanted to get invoved in.

Somewhere along the way they both agreed that he quit with full benefits to go back to Egypt to fufill his duties or responsibilities he felt fit.

Thus the reason we dont see Sagi here in GFY. He flew back to Egypt the day he left AFF. And its my understanding there is no internet connection still in Egypt.

As a friend I hope he stays safe. But it is getting violent over there.

I will keep everyone posted as I get more news or info. We all love him and we hope he stays safe fighting for what he feels is right..

boneprone 02-02-2011 12:32 PM

I will try to keep this page updated with the latest on Sagi and will let everyone know when I get in contact with him. Stay safe my brother.

Yep. That was him. His background in Media really helps. He is not there to throw rocks or set things on fire. He is there with a Media crew to try to get out to the world what is going on over there.

Its not about 1 man. Its about influencing many.

JenniDahling 02-02-2011 12:52 PM

All the best to Sagi, definitely one of the nicest and most helpful guys in the biz. Thanks for keeping us up to date, BP.

p.s. where is my protective bukkake gear? I ordered the poncho and safety goggles way before Internext.

Yes he is. But before you jump the gun to judge him realize we as Americans (or in your case Canadian) dont really understand the situation over there.

We should pray for him as our friend, our brother no matter what side of the political side he is on. Its a serious issue over there and we are his friend.

We must wish him the best.

RaiderCash_Dominik 02-02-2011 01:51 PM

The crowds over there are getting violent. We all know Sagi not to be a violent person. We know if anything he is just trying to shed some light on the issue for all of us to see.
He would be the first to help Anderson Cooper.

Sad what's going on over there.

I dont really want to get into the politics of this. Ill just say this. It is very scarry over there. There are two diff main opinions over there in the politics just like there is here. We should not judge him for his position for not understanding it.

I personally dont.

boneprone 02-02-2011 01:54 PM

It seems like most of the smart people want this guys Mubarik to stay.

no it is the dumb people that want him to stay and of course the people that profit from Mubarak ( why do you insist on calling him mubarik ? ) being in power.

Smart people like Mohamed El Baradei who won the nobel peace prize want him to leave

http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2011...bandon-mubarak

Mubarak basically is a guy who has been in power for 30 years since Sadat , the previous president died. He first was vice president under Sadat and then when he got assasinated just took over.

You wrote what I didn't take the time or energy to write.
It can, however, be argued that since elections are coming up in September it could be more efficient to keep Mubarak in power the remaining months, to avoid a vaccuum of power. The country needs a government and any loose constellation hastily put together now, would most probably just end up costing the Egyptian people a lot of money for very little efficiency.

Thus one could argue for Mubarak to be an interim solution, to cover for 6-7 more months, and allow elections to have proper time for campaigning and so on. History do show, however, that such a "lame duck" solution will more often than not end with the interim solution or government realizing they will soon be thrown out and then try to gain as much money and wealth, real estate, land and government contracts they can possibly get. Which then ends up being a very costly solution.

The people gathered there will not accept anything else than Mubarak's resignation. Any government being hastily overthrown will leave an empty space behind them. That space needs to be filled quickly, without repeating the same mistake and just getting a new dictator or other non-democratic government.

Much more to be said on the issue. But anyone saying "Mubarik" and claiming "smart people" are either trolling or on the verge of being unlawfully uneducated.
