California allows college aid to illegal immigrants
WTF? This is just wrong. In a time when more than 48% of all Americans live in a household that received some kind of government benefit during the first three months of last year, we are now going to pay for the education of illegal immigrants?
Even if it's a small number the key word here is ILLEGAL immigrant. http://news.yahoo.com/california-gov...191902671.html . |
Total bullshit. Cali is broke and this is what they do?!?!
He must be trying to buy another term. |
illegal people getting help, america is really good country!
|
Fucking jobless and homeless AMERICANS on the streets, so let's give free aid to those that don't really even belong here. That makes perfect sense.
|
I'm surprised to see Texas already offers the same.
|
Illegal aliens who pay nothing into the tax system, and are not even citizens of this country, getting free handouts on "wants" (i.e. college education) not a 'need'... compliments of the tax payers in a country/state that is going broke.
Fucking madness. :disgust |
I did hear something interesting not too far back. It was a report that stated that illegals pay into Social Security something like 8-10 billion dollars a tear and can never collect it.

Granted as a whole they probably consume more than the produce tax wise but that is no excuse for your ignorance. |
I'm trying to wrap my head around this. You mean it to tell me the state of California is willing to give out loans to criminals that might be deported at any moment?

That said, California is so fucked, it's insane to imagine that this is what they have decided to put their money towards. Maybe prisons will accidentally release murderers again to free up space... oh wait! |

No shock here. |

My old college roommate works for DHS over in Detroit. He can go on for hours about how fucked the system is, and the pro-illegals immigration policies. Some of that shit is just maddening. |
Quite a touchy subject. But they do have to actually graduate from high school and get into college to get that so at least they are going to be english speaking and educated, and not trying to climb on your car hood when you pull into the uhaul station begging for work. lol

Taxes? They hardly pay any taxes! The thousands around here get payed cash under the table. Get them the fuck out of this country. We're broke! We already have enough legal people draining the system. Come back legal or don't come back at all!
|
The bottom line is there are now enough legal Mexicans in the US for them to get their way. Mexican households have always had more children than other races over the years. "Change through population numbers" you could call it. Now politicians have to start giving them what they want for any chance at reelection.

This really pisses me off. I had to pay $8,000 out of my own pocket this year for my education. I received not one single dollar in financial aid. I'm by no means wealthy, and that 8k put a nice dent in my savings.
I believe education should be free in every country, at least for undergraduate degrees. Educated people produce and contribute to the economy. Investing in them will bring a return on investment. So, as a legal citizen born in this country that must pay for my education, to see illegal aliens get a free education, absolutely sickens me, infuriates me, and makes me further believe that the republic has failed and needs to be scrapped. |
Obama did nothing. remember that come election time

Another example of how the regular working class person gets screwed again. Nothing new. Stop being a chump and instead play along - many Americans have gotten the message and are working the system.
As to why illegals are being coddled, lots of reasons, but it ultimately come down to cheap labor (not just directly, but indirectly too - drives down overall wages) and getting votes - just because one is illegal, doesn't mean they can't try to vote ... and moreover, their children born here, upon reaching age 18, legally can. Can anyone make a good recommendation, I'm looking for a country I can sneak into without penalty. This country must have excellent health care that I can access for free simply by going to the emergency room. This country must educate and feed my children. And I don't want to pay taxes either.
Please hurry I need to move soon as my country is turning to shit and is about to implode. Thank you. Did you know that 15% of California students from kindergarten thru 12th grade are illegals? Only makes sense to now fund their college educations right? Fuck me! . |

There have been a number of different documentaries and interviews where corporations, like Nike, have said that U.S. citizens will not work in a shoe factory or will work some of these jobs (like farming, house cleaning, etc.) and that the only way to fill these jobs is with this labor force. A few years back the DHS was flying around the country busting meat packing companies notorious for hiring illegals. Swift was a major one where they hit a bunch of their plants at the same time and arrested thousands. Well, after that raid the corporations paid off their congressmen and now DHS has to give a 3-7 day notice to the company before the raids. So when they get there, a plant where thousand work will have say 100 people working. All white and legal. Mysteriously they rarely find an illegal any more. Those they do find are those who get turned in by the company for not keeping their mouth shut or being problematic. Essentially, they are to work under poor conditions for little pay. Or they get threatened to be turned in and deported. It is a huge racket. |

Flashback to when Obama won - before he had even taken office, as President-elect, he attended a Whitehouse meeting with President Bush and McCain, all agreeing on corporate bailouts - very strange until one realizes the power-elite dictates much of the policy not the President - he's a figurehead and little else. I just can't understand this law and why this would happen. There are a lot of our own students struggling to make ends meet to go to school. Not to forget the crippling student loans we have to pay when we're well out of college, paying taxes.

:Oh crap |
Absolute bullshit.
And then the person from Asia or wherever, who actually tries to do things the LEGAL way gets ran through every single hoop and red-tape and run-around,and gets nickeled-and-dimed and gets bad, rude, snotty service at our embassies abroad and immigration officers (usually of Mexican decent ironically enough) if-and-when they DO make it here. Fucked up Country we live in. Really is. |

People always say "Cali is broke," yet it's the 8th largest economy in the nation.
uhuh, yeah :1orglaugh |
This new exec order is a slap in the face to every citizen and legal immigrant. We paid thousands and spent years following the rules when my wife came from Japan. We are planning the move back and I am working to meet requirements for Japanese citizenship.
Cali is sliding down faster than a cumshot to a Pattaya whore on Friday night...and it will only slide further when educated peeps are all gone and illegal immigrants have totally drained the system. Lookout Canada, you have some new amigos headed your way when that happens. LOL. |
Better to read and educate than spout off blindly.

Sounds good to me. I am a native Californian who now lives in the Deep South. I know American Citizens who did not graduate from high school, and make minimum wage in a factory, and sorry to say this but working the type of job back home you'd expect a Mexican to be working. So you show me a "non documented worker" aka illegal who actually graduated from high school, got accepted into a college, and just needs some help with tuition? In terms of making society better, I think that is a good thing. I myself am the child of an immigrant (let me add legal) and can't stand seeing lazy Americans who were born here when I know so many immigrants who succeed in the human race so much better. And there is my useless fucking opinion. :) |

I graduated with 22K in debt in the early 90s. Paid it all off. Went through a bankruptcy and that shit doesn't pass through, so every penny plus interest got repaid. My college degree hasn't helped one iota in what I do now. Am I glad I went? Hell yeah. First person in my extended family to graduate. It was a goal I achieved. Would I recommend it to everyone? Hell no. From what I know and have experienced, I would choose someone with experience 99.9% of the time over someone with a college degree. In fact, as a business owner, all things being equal except the degree...... I think I would still choose the person with experience as I could employ them at a lower rate than the person with the degree. Just simple economics is all. College has become BIG BIG BIG business. Why don't we keep the "FREE" education where it belongs? In public schools? Why don't we ensure that everyone graduates from high school at a better level and not make college (which is really fucking expensive to operate and to attend) the new high school? Quote:
