Police shooting caught on video
Just saw this on the local news tonight; Seems they just released the video.
As you watch the video keep in mind this man has prior convictions for burglary, statutory rape, possession of controlled substances, felony evading arrest, vehicle theft, possession of a stolen vehicle, assault with a deadly weapon and participating in a criminal street gang. After his death, it was discovered he was on meth as well. Police had staked out that house because Ernest Duenez, who was on parole at the time, was wanted for questioning in a domestic violence incident earlier that day. |
Ok....what are YOU trying to point out?
|
As real as it gets. Intense video there
|
so he gets out of the car, wanted for questioning of an earlier domestic dispute and got shot... 12 times I counted. Hmmm...
|
:Oh crap

what a dipshit and coward cop. I do understand the officers to use their guns when they are in danger but the boy was far enoght from him. He could shot him in the leg in worst case.
pussy. |
It's not murder for shooting him, it's murder when emptying damn near a whole clip when the first shot put him down enough as-is.

What happened to tasers? I though US cope were all into 'non lethal force' 1st; then going all Vietnam on someone's ass.
|
HOLY FUCK!
What happened to tazers? Hope all of those bastards lose their job. That was uncalled for. A tazer or even ONE shot would have done the trick, probably even a shot into the air would have stopped him. It's not OK to unload into people for not following orders. |

cops are not special forces guys. they are trained to kill in self defense. the best way to kill is unload the gun. remember in the video where the cops states "drop the knife, don't move"? and the creepy guy grabbed the knifed and started to move on the cop, you saw that correct? why should some cop risk his life and health and the well being of his family on a piece shit like that guy? |

I don't care what the guy was guilty of beforehand -- and maybe the planet is better off without him -- but this was not a righteous kill.
I know cops have a tough job, but if a guy is a few feet away from you with a knife, and is not coming toward you, then shouldn't have to empty an entire clip into him. This is another cop scared of his own shadow. |

1. Have you ever fired a weapon in your life? 2. Try shooting a target that is 6.5 inches across, moving and 12 to 15 feet away. 3. Add into that the adrenalin rush and see how you do. ( simulate it by running around a city block and shooting ) 4. add in the known info that the guy is considered dangerous and with a drug background. Im not saying they were justified as a taser would most likely have worked but wow. People just amaze me with the " Shoot him in the leg " idea. There has been shooting after shooting with marks men involved in spaces of 12 feet distance and no one gets hit. |

The problem is cops who have a very slim tolerance for what they consider to be a life and death situation for themselves. |

Oh and not to mention that the cop said " Drop the Knife now!"
there was a huge thing in the law enforcement a bunch of years back where they finally decided that 21 feet was the closest that you wanted to be to a person with a knife. Anything within that distance was close enough to use deadly force. |

I was talking about competition shoots that have been involved in shoots and not hit the target because of a LOT of factors. |
Everyone is kill able but the killers.
|
I understand the cops actions. If you told me I had to confront, arrest, and detain a convicted felon who was considered armed and dangerous, and then instead of him obeying order he jumps out of the car? I would shoot too.
However, I question why he emptied an entire clip into the guy. He could have fired once or twice to stop him and put him down, not kill him. By unloading the entire clip into the guy put him in a bad situation from a combat perspective - There was two other people in the truck plus the wife and god only knows who else... So suddenly he just shot and killed a man but now had to reload. Anyhow, I don't care much. The family is making this out like he was a "loving father". Seems to me he was a convicted felon who had been to jail three times, and was shot when he failed to follow orders from the police officer when they tried to detain him. |

That was f'd up.

Wanna get really pissed. This guy leaves his dog with his cousin to watch. The dogsitter leaves thru the garage doesnt watch and the dog goes out also. She warrandering the new neighborhood, the poilice are called. Watch the video, the dog scared out of its mind on the catch pole and the cop empty's the gun in it and before that the dog is just watching them talk. No aggression.

However, the further you dig, the better it gets. This guy was a real life gangbanger. |
That man appeared very aggressive and showed absolutely no intention of cooperating with the cop. He was given plenty of time to do so. End of story.

What he said. |

looked like he was waiting for him. maybe he threatened someone and they called popo. the cop was sitting there waiting for him. the police report would probably paint the whole picture.

I was a reserve deputy sherrif in AZ for a couple of years and had to go through all of the training. "Firing once or twice to stop someone" is a fallacy that has been perpetuated by hollywood. It all depends on the state of mind and determination of the person being shot. If someone is full of adrenalin they can take a bunch of rounds. If you don't cause a drastic and sudden drop in blood pressure, by hitting the brain or the heart, (small difficult targets), it can take on average 7 rounds of 9mm or 4 rounds of .45 to make a determined attacker completely "down" and unable to get up, attack, or draw and fire his own weapon. Every cop and firearms course will tell you that in a situation where you feel that deadly force must be used, you need to keep on shooting , center mass, until the mag is empty, then reload, and see what is the situation. .:2 cents: . |

ok, 2 questions:
- why is it possible that in other countries Police can stop people without unloading their whole magazines in them? - why can't i post even the hint of a female nipple on Youtube but something like this? |
ah - and no matter what happened before - this was simply murder.

Wow. You think you know a guy for years and years, but you never really do, I guess.... . |
arent they supposed to leave that evidence for the forensic team who investigate police shootings?
