I sent in a comment to CNN regarding Piers Morgan

Piers Morgan:

Mr Morgan these is no issue at all with you having an opinion, any opinion in fact and you certainly have the right to express that opinion.... and you certainly have the right to debate your opinions in intelligent discussions with those of differing opinions.

HOWEVER you have no right to label people with different opinions as stupid, or any other derogatory label and as member of the 'press' I would have thought you would have more respect for intelligent discourse.

At this point you have relegated yourself the position of a 'Jerry Springer' and certainly made a joke of CNN's efforts to present itself as an unbiased news organization.

In my opinion you owe CNN and America a public apology...and also in my opinion you might want to examine your behaviors and attitudes to forestall and future outbreaks childish behavior in a public forum.

Best wishes to you and your family though the holidays and coming new year.

warm regards, Brian M Bradley

You're right, much better that he pulls out a Glock and blows the dude away...

That is the problem with the country right now, everyone is so damned sensitive about everything, heated debates are what his show is about, his guests know that he's a dick and is going to call them names, much like the Fox News presenters do when they have people on the show that go against their viewpoint, or Nancy Grace does when she has guests on her show going against her views.

This is nothing new on news shows, it gets publicity and ratings, you don't like it, don't watch those programs.

Lets all complain that someone on TV used adjectives to describe someone who's viewpoints they didn't like and their audience heard/saw it happen, its a much wiser use of our time than trying to figure out this whole gun control mess, starving children, homeless on the streets, etc...

Fodder for the sheeple is all it was and its working just like it was meant to...

buzzard 12-31-2012 09:58 AM

Great comment to CNN ...haha Jerry Springer like :thumbsup
Piers 'the Puss' Morgan is probably the only thing keeping CNN (Takes Money from FOREIGN Dictators to Run Flattering Propaganda) on the air right now.
I doubt he's going anywhere.

ColBigBalls 12-31-2012 09:59 AM

CNN is a tabloid anyway.

Sorry to say but I agree that he only made himself and CNN look bad by calling names, over talking his guest and in general showing that he lacked research on his topic.

I for one have not been back to CNN since.

Rochard 12-31-2012 10:04 AM

I sent CNN an email asking them why I am unable to watch CNN live on the Internet....

BIGTYMER 12-31-2012 10:27 AM

CNN is only good are covering war live.

Only time I watch it anyway.

ottopottomouse 12-31-2012 11:21 AM

If he changed his name to Piers Moreguns you'd love him.

epitome 12-31-2012 11:25 AM

Yeah let's stifle free speech! I know, I know, he is British... But he's saying it in the US.

Let's all write in about how we should ban porn, too!

I'm sorry I didn't realize you're stupid. I apologize. tell you what, you solve the issues in your life shouting insults over any conversation and I'll have intelligent discussion...

Donny 12-31-2012 02:51 PM

Brian's right. It's okay to have a loud opinion but a totally different animal to accuse those who don't agree as being of inferior intellect. Morons.

Yep, I agree. News has become rather "sensationalized" - They no longer report the news, but try to make it as newsworthy as possible so people will be interested in reading it.

kane 12-31-2012 03:47 PM

Piers Morgan has officially owned a large group of people.

He has done nothing different than we see all the time from people like Hannity, Limbaugh and Ann Coulter. He is saying something controversial, stirring up shit and pissing people off with it and it is working for him. His ratings are up and there was a story the other day that said this new controversy he has created might be the life raft his show needed.

The more he angers the pro-gun people the more the anti-gun people love him and they both tune in to see what he will say next about the subject.

The difference being;

1) I'm not.
2) No harm, no foul.
3) We're not on a news broadcast trying to get ratings and;
4) :321GFY

You're welcome :)

you're interpretation of slamming might be a bit different than mine. I sent a comment to CNN that Piers has lost some credibly and might consider his actions if he wants to have a credibly in the future... and an apology might be appropriate if he wishes to consider himself a professional news person.

Just because pundits like Limbaugh, Hannity, and Beck on the right, and Maddow, Olbermann, etc, on the left, appear on News stations, that does not make their program's news.

The line has become incredibly blurred between "news", and editorial "opinion" advocacy/editorial/propaganda programming.

Broadcast news programming has changed dramatically over recent years, starting with the ending of the Fairness Doctrine, to the point that many people in the public seem unable to distinguish between news and opinion, or facts and propaganda.

The unfortunate reality is that media corporations put profits first, and since sensationalism sells better than rational moderated debate, the effect is an increasingly polarized and dumbed-down nation where emotion triumphs over reason, and the corporate interests of the media conglomerates and their advertisers dictate who is allowed to say what over the public airwaves.

CNN & MSNBC are different companies? Seems like the same bs. to me. I agree with what someone posted above. I don't believe much anything they report, and do not watch those stations anymore.
